Quit my job at the end of spring, worked at a wedding venue this summer, and am now enjoying the first month off since I was 22!! This summer was one of the most fun of my life and I am so grateful for my friends, family, and life 🥰

Pirate Gal adventures… some dancing, some hiking, some fueling, some falls, some ankle rolls, some bathroom breaks, some boy pirates and lotssss of running 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 💪 20miles with 4,000+ vert for the ladies. Mammoth is up next for these two!👯‍♀️

This summer I had the opportunity to partner with @the_trail_team during some big moments on their calendar. I got to spend nearly two weeks supporting the team on the ground at Broken Arrow and TrailCon. I believe @wackera and @itsallablurrrr have built something really special with The Trail Team and I feel fortunate to be a small part of that. These athletes are the future of trail running and I got to see firsthand how hard they are all working to get to the next level. Getting to watch the entire team race and cheer them on was the most fulfilling experience.

It’s easy to think trail running is as simple as having a pair of shoes and getting out outside to run but that’s just not the case. To compete at the top it takes so much more and the cost of everything from gear, nutrition, and travel adds up fast. My goal is to help remove some of those barriers to allow the best young athletes the opportunity to focus solely on their training and racing. The days I got to spend with the team probably had a bigger impact on me than them and I learned how much I love supporting other athletes.

Huge shoutout to the On Trail Team for joining us and investing time into the team. So much of this sport is about engaging and learning from those who have been in it. It was a dream to bring these two teams together.

There’s a lot more to say but it’s been hard to put it all into words. Maybe I will find another place to write it all out but thank you to @the_trail_team for letting me be a part of the team for a few weeks!

Huge shoutout to @matthad2 and @wackera for creating an opportunity for The Trail Team to partner with On for @brokenarrowskyrace @trailcontahoe and @wser. I got to spend a lot of time with the crew as the @on pro-athlete liaison with TTT, felt reminiscent of my collegiate coaching days...my soul is so full.

I feel like I experienced the epitome of US trail running this week...outside of the industry events, it's the unstructured group run adventures, stick n poke tats in the parking lot, waking up at 3am to run up to the Escarpment to watch the athletes come through, and all the connections you make along the way...that is trail running at its best 🤌 And watching my good friends have such amazing days in the mountains, fuck this sport is so cool.
