Southern Illinois University Collegiate Farm Bureau is proud to sponsor Eric Wisely for 2026 Homecoming Royalty! Eric is a senior majoring in Agricultural Systems and Education with a minor in Agribusiness Economics. He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to our chapter through his involvement and leadership. He has participated in several Illinois Farm Bureau events, including the Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting, Collegiate Discussion Meet, and Young Leaders Conference. Eric previously served as the 2025-2026 Governmental Affairs Representative for our chapter, where he helped plan and execute chapter events, including the SIU Collegiate Farm Bureau Legislative Night.

Four years ago when I walked into my ag classroom, I never knew everything FFA would bring into my life. I never thought FFA would become my life!

This year took me from Ground Zero Conference to BUILD Conference, and Middle School Conference where I met so many strong leaders and members. I was also blessed to have spent a week with the best camp group (FORKY FLAMES FOR LIFE), whose energy, laughter, and excitement reminded me why this organization means so much.

I had the incredible honor of serving as the flag bearer at National Convention—a moment I'll never forget and one that filled me with so much pride to representour state on the National stage.

I have made so many friends throughout my years in FFA. Especially this year as section president where I met 30 amazing people who quickly became like family. Thank you all for being the best teammates!

Special thank you to my amazing mentor and friend, Riley who always encouraged me to keep my head up and keep striving to do amazing things. Also thank you to Pinckneyville FFA, Section 24 members, advisors, and my officer team, Mr. McAllister, Eric, my family and especially my brother, and Natalie!

FFA has given me opportunities, friendships, memories, and lessons that will stay with me forever. Thank you to everyone who believed in me, encouraged me, and was part of this journey. My blue jacket may not always be on my shoulders, but FFA will always have a place in my heart. 💙💛
