One last photo dump from WPPI. This was my 12th time attending WPPI. I've attended lots of other conferences and photo events... but none of those make me feel as inspired. It's always a little hard to re-enter the real world after a week of being surrounded by friends and fellow photographers that want to continue to take their art and their buisness to the next level.

I’m still processing this week.

I had the opportunity to speak at one of the biggest photography conferences in the industry about building a successful photography business in a small town.

Last year I won the speaking competition there.

This year I was on stage teaching.

That alone already feels surreal.

But what I keep thinking about most isn’t the stage.

It’s the people.

This industry has given me something I never expected when I first picked up a camera. A community. Friends who understand this strange mix of art and business. People who care about creating meaningful work and building lives around it.

That’s the real reason I keep coming back.

After my talk ended, there was a line of photographers waiting to talk, ask questions, take a photo, or just tell me the talk resonated with them.

Several people said the same thing in different ways:

“You made me believe I could actually do this.”

And that moment meant everything to me.

Because when I started my business, I was in a small town in one of the lowest income areas in the country. I was raising two kids and figuring everything out as I went.

So if sharing my story helps someone else see new possibilities for their own path, that is the greatest honor.

This week reminded me how much I love this industry.

I love creating for my clients.
I love learning and growing as an artist.
And I love teaching photographers how to build businesses that support their lives.

Speaking and educating feels like a path I’m only just beginning to explore.

And I’m very excited for what comes next.

PS -- I didn't get near as many photos with my favorite people so many faces missing on this post. I love you all and next year will take so many more!! 📷

Filling my creative cup. ❤️❤️❤️

From podcasts to powerful classes.
From shootouts to sit-downs.
From rooftop dancing to deep discussions that stretched long past the end of the day.

WPPI is where photographers come to grow—but also where we come to connect, challenge ideas, and push our industry forward.

This year I had the absolute joy of supporting friends stepping into their power—teaching, speaking, sharing their knowledge, and inspiring rooms full of photographers. Watching that unfold was magic.

But one of the most meaningful parts for me was continuing the conversation around inclusion in photography.
Helping pave paths toward a community where more voices are welcomed, more stories are seen, and more photographers feel like they belong.

Because photography should be for everyone.

And getting to experience all of this while making memories with family and friends made it even sweeter.

Vegas lights fade…
but the inspiration, conversations, and connections from this week will keep lighting the way forward.

Cheers 🥂 to new experiences , to growth, and to the personal evolution that happens when creatives gather in one place.

Already dreaming about what we build next.
