Lithium orotate is one of the only supplements that I’ve seen *acutely* shift people’s outlook on life. Many report feeling “alive” for the first time on low-dose lithium. Often within 10-20min of their first dose. This is truly remarkable for a simple mineral! You might be thinking, “Wait, isn’t lithium a drug with lots of side effects?” Lithium orotate and lithium carbonate are different forms of lithium with distinct purposes and dosages. Lithium orotate is often used in microdosing for health benefits, while lithium carbonate is a prescription medication used for treating mood disorders. It is essential not to confuse the two, as lithium carbonate can be dangerous & is only available via prescription. [Some emerging research suggests that low-dose lithium orotate may actually outperform high-dose lithium carbonate with fewer side effects] Lithium has a profound, pleiotropic effect on brain health, neural stem cells, mood, & even bone integrity. Lithium also stabilizes dopamine receptors, which helps in balancing mood and prevents the mood swings commonly associated with bipolar disorder. It also exerts an anti-inflammatory effect within the CNS by reducing inflammatory cytokines (neuroinflammation is often linked to mood disorders and depression) Lithium can help repolarize immune cells away from inflammatory phenotypes (M2) and towards anti-inflammatory and repair states (M1). In theory, this means lithium could exert powerful disease-modifying effects in many models of neuro pathology. Lithium can also help bone metabolism through its effects on calcium signaling and parathyroid hormone regulation. Lithium has been shown to increase bone formation by stimulating the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts. The benefits of lithium aren’t limited to cognition. As always, this is not a post intended to facilitate self-treatment. If you decid to try lithium, do so at your own discretion. Preferably, choose a brand that’s third-party tested. I really like the Mitolife brand, and I personally love combing half a capsule (5mg) with 5 tablets of shilajit/panacea (you can find it in the bio under the Mitolife tab with a code) for a cognitive boost

@andreawallace is one helluva fitness coach !! I truly enjoy her yelling at us @ @otfcollegestation during our workouts. Even though we don’t normally react to it, we do hear her & it inspires us to go harder & give it our all. And that happened again on Wednesday 7/10. Our 200m benchmark row was up on deck. I did it twice during class & shaved off 3 seconds. However I told Andrea I still felt I had something left in the tank. And that I did. I shaved off 5.34 seconds off my last 200 meter row 🤯🤯 If you’re not improving daily, then what are you even doing w/ your life ?? Being average ?? Fuck being average, as it’s boring !! Shoutout to @ericbocc for yelling at me in the background too, while the Meek Mill music jammed !! #orangetheory #orangetheoryfitness #collegestation #collegestationtexas #texas #texasaggies #gym #gymmotivation #gymlife #gymlifestyle #average #averageisnotanoption #rower @otfcollegestation

Teeth are held by the maxilla and mandible, the latter of which forms the TMJ with the temporal bones. The temporal bones articulate with the occiput which rests on top of the spine. You know where I am going with this elementary anatomy… Point being- the position of one body structure can directly impact the function of another. Therefore the implications of moving teeth are not confined to the oral cavity. Teeth are not only what we chew food with; they are also sensory organs that provide proprioception to a body seeking spatial awareness and grounding for energy efficient bipedal locomotion and survival. It seems simple, however, many fail to realize that FORCING teeth into positions through braces, Invisalign, or permanent retainers can affect anything outside of oral aesthetics. Unfortunately there are repercussions that reach far beyond limitations in movement. Orthodontics may affect lymphatic drainage, CSF circulation, respiration, etc., so understanding and assessing for the whole body dynamics should be considered. Instead of haphazardly gluing a wire on teenager’s teeth to shove them into a straighter alignment, maybe we should look to practitioners who understand that there is underlying body beneath that deserves attention too. Here’s a few great ones listed below: @alamposturaldds @jamesguzmanprc @jandersonprc @mikecantrellprc
