Day 4 (I think) of #Edfringe2026 reviewing.

Started with another great flat white (and a slice of #glutenfree lemon tart) from @lady_n_thebear - delicious.

The King Of All Birds had lots of positives, and clever sound design, but it didn't quite come together for me.

Brief interlude for an apparent eclipse, scuppered by Scottish cloud cover.

Then back into town for My Life is a Sonnet, which was incredible. A real surprise, as it seemed unassuming at first. But really funny and moving, and excellently performed. Do go see it, it's great!

Charlie struggles with mental health issues such as dissociation, depression, and rage. At long last, can he make himself vulnerable enough to experience true joy?

Couplet: Folk Marry Kill spotlights a newly married couple (us), where one person is full of death anxiety and the other thinks they might live forever. It kicks off with the words Marnina said to Micah literally while consummating our marriage, which were: “You’re not allowed to die.”
And at the same time, it’s an interactive comedy show featuring our funniest new songs.

Check the L in our B for 2 for 1 shows! We open Wednesday!!

We also cowrote songs in the ridiculously jubilant and hilarious @heatedrivalrymusicalparody and most nights Marnina will be in it as the scene-stealing Intimacy Coordinator Joanne Nippleburger, with Micah joining the band on guitar at Gilded Balloon Patter House (Other Yin) at 7:45pm!
