What an incredible experience working as a hairstylist for the Old Navy fashion show, alongside thee talented @beautybybellalicious ! ✨ So much gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a gifted team and bring these amazing looks to life. The energy backstage was electric, and I loved every second of it. Feeling so inspired and excited for what’s next!

it’s always a great day at academy #!!

So back in June I decided to start my journey as a hair stylist and go to Cosmo School. Since then, I’ve been doing more hair but not really taking videos… but I love how this turned out!!! ( new cut/color w dimension & beach waves ) and so I decided to start posting more of my work too. I’m just an artist and super sensitive about my sh*t and want everything to be perfect, but I’m biting the bullet! *aghhhhh* 😆😆
Anyways, I’m super proud of this look I did on my moms <3 funny shes been my client since the start and actually introduced me to this lifestyle/career.
I have a year left to get licensed, until then you can visit me at the academy or hit the dm if you want some services.
The goal is to specialize in cuts and color but enjoy doing it all. ( braiding, styling, curing, silk presses, textured, coils. Errrrrthang )

Super excited for what the next year has to offer. Happy New Years fam 🫂💙

Natural style for the win!!

My client wanted something cute and girly for the holiday season. So we went for a half up/half down w a swoop ( because who doesn’t love a good swoop ) and a lil flare on the ends. In order for me to get her hair this straight, i had to make sure the wash and condition set the foundation. Stripping her 4c hair of its past product build-up, I was able to condition and hydrate her hair which lead me to having her hair 90% straight after the blow dry. All I needed next was some thermal heat protectant spray, a little Moroccan oil and my good ol thermal irons…. A little hair spray on the ends to hold the flared curl and we were good to go!!

Sometimes we want to crank that thermal iron on high because we think this will get our hair super straight and to last long. But really, it’s the wash and condition that matters most. Hair works best when it’s clean and hydrated, so focusing on setting a good foundation, will lead to easier flat ironing and styling.

trust goes a far way..
your hairstylist can feel when you don’t trust them, which impacts the service tbh. Because now I have to prove you wrong 😂 but thankfully I’ve been blessed w clients like Ms. Nicole who lets me do my thing each and every time. Her giving me this space to perform my craft allows me to flourish and deepens our relationship 🫂 I’d love to use some @cecred products on her next time she’s in the salon.. but until then, enjoy this flatiron with some soft curls
