GARY WYMAN: FROM THE PASSENGER SEAT (TEASER). F4D lost a dear friend last year to ALS. Before Gary passed we took a trip. MORE
⠀
⠀
---
⠀
For the last two and a half years, we have been working on a documentary film about a road trip we took with Gary, four months before he passed. This documentary will tell the story of the trip, and the story of Gary’s fight with ALS. ⠀
__
⠀
The film starts 2.5 years ago, but Gary’s story starts long before. ⠀
Gary was a fixture in the outdoor industry, working for companies such as @patagonia @vans @686 @sanuk @neversummerindustries and @icelantic_skis . ⠀
F4D co-founders @gabriel_rovick @conkstagram became close friends with Gary while he was working @icelantic_skis ⠀
__
⠀
Gary was always known for his vivacious and adventurous character. He was one of those people that brought light into every room he walked into. That is true for before and after he began having health issues. ⠀
When he was finally diagnosed with ALS, he continued to live a full and vivacious life, some may say even more so than before his diagnosis. ⠀
He traveled around the world making sure he made the most of his limited time on this earth. ⠀
Gary never stopped spreading love and enjoyment to those who surrounded him. ⠀
__
⠀
This film is meant to commemorate the life of Gary, through the story of a road trip that had its ups and downs, much like his life. ⠀
__
⠀
In order to finish the documentary, we are asking for donations to help cover the costs of the many hours of postproduction. We have started a GoFundMe account which is LINKED IN OUR BIO. ⠀
Your contribution will shed light on the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of ALS, a disease that affects more than 30,000 Americans, and 450,000 people worldwide.
⠀
__
⠀
Gary touched so many lives during his short time on this earth. ⠀
Whether you are able to make a donation or not, if you are one of the lives that he touched, please share this video on your story so that we can commemorate his life and honor his wishes to share this story with the world.

Video for “ ALL IN ON LOVE “ | Peru | my final mural of 2019 | Immediately struck by the energy of the mountains, the heart of the valley, and the ancient roots embedded into its culture, Sacred Valley is like no other place I’ve ever been. Captured by the textiles + the beautiful shades of green that span from the mountain tops down into to fields, it was such an honour to paint a mural for @samadhisacredvalley. This retreat space is truly unique, designed and imagined by two brothers who are putting so much soul + intention into the mission for this space. Together with their family, they bring what seems like an abundance of kindness and creativity into all that they do which is why I’m pretty excited to see the property once it’s fully developed (with plans for a spa and to build out the landscaping all the way down to the base of the mural.) I couldn’t help but be inspired by the vibrant colours of the flowers + the rainbow of chakras built into roofs of each guesthouse. For this piece, I wanted there to be movement + energy, a certain element of flow that would enhance the overarching theme of love. In the end, the process felt like a beautiful conversation, almost like a dance, weaving layers of paint amongst structured blocks of color, feeling so alive and filled with love along the way. Perhaps it was the melody of the birds, the feeling of the sun or the people I met while I was there, but something within this experience brought such a feeling of alignment + peace .... a feeling I’m tightly holding on to. With that - sending a huge amount of gratitude to Eduardo and Fernando at Samadhi. Congratulations...What you’re doing is AMAZING! And one more THANK YOU because this truly couldn’t have been done without my soul brother @brandencollinsworth @warriorretreats + goddess @iamchelseypierce. Thank you for aligning all the stars to bring this wall to life! This team is the real deal! Every year they bring a new crew to the lands of Peru to dive deep into service, adventure + conscious connection. Although I only got a taste of what they do, the experience they craft for their warriors is beyond transforming + it’s in the best kind of way.

“Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable.” -Wiliam Pollard
.
.
It’s easy to reject creativity in favor of comfortability. We achieve a level where we think we have everything “figured out” and then try to hold on to that feeling so tightly that the world around us passes us by. In order to be the best version of yourself change is inevitable, and i believe that creativity is the catalyst for that change.

Thailand has given me a lifetime I’ve never had. I always wanted to tell a very powerful unique video about my dancing, and I’m glad I was able to share my spirit in this country. Everybody’s gotta story to tell and everyone has chance. I look forward to go back to my second home again, cause this trip was well worth it. #thailand #positive #mystory @thailand @fantastic.thailand #dance #video

Listen to a level 9 using @pulpriothair lightener and @brazilianbondbuilder and then toned with @pulpriothair silver rapid toner.
.
Normally when i color, i try to leave the sides and back natural in order to give contrast to the fade. However, this time i said fuck it and i was realllllll happy with the outcome.
.
Back from NYC today and back out on Saturday to @shipwreckbarbershopca to judge the fringe category. Can’t wait to kick it with you Californians 🤘
