Oh my goodness you guys, this book is beautiful! 😍 I was so excited to receive this Kickstarter package!

Lots of amazing stories! This was an amazing collection of stories that I really enjoyed. I loved all 22 stories. I have only read books from two of these authors, Blake and Raven Penn, and Z.S. Diamanti.

I am looking forward to reading more from so many of these authors that contributed to this book. I am so glad I got the opportunity to participate in an arc read of this book. The worlds created by these authors are fascinating and creative. I was immersed into each world and wanted to know more about each story. I can’t wait to discover more of their books!

They say don’t meet your heroes…but I’m so glad I did. Timothy Zahn is legend status in my pantheon on inspirations and to top it off he was so genuine and kind. He shared some great words of encouragement that I will be holding on to for a long time.

Plus look at this special edition. Gah. So cool.

The expo is never complete without a Dusty meet up and story time. Another hero of mine and gem of a person.

And @erickaevrenauthor bookmail was on my step when I got home! It looks fantastic on my shelf!

Rise of Legends
by @erickaevrenauthor

🚀🚀🚀🚀☄️ (4 out of 5)

Thank you Ericka for reaching out and letting me on this cruise 😁.

Rise of Legends throws you straight into the storm and doesn’t really let you breathe until the final pages.

The story follows Kaytrix, a protagonist who is far more interesting for his flaws than for any destiny stamped on his forehead. Yes, there’s prophecy. Yes, there’s a galaxy hanging in the balance. But what makes this book work isn’t just the scale of the conflict. It’s the personal war happening inside him.

Kaytrix isn’t a clean cut hero. He’s carrying baggage, secrets, and a past that slowly unravels in ways that genuinely complicate how you see him. The tension between who he is and who he’s supposed to be gives the novel its emotional weight. His relationships feel layered, trust is fragile, alliances shift, and more than once, you’re left wondering who is really standing beside him.

The story moves quickly, but not at the expense of character moments. When it slows down, it does so to let the emotional stakes land.

Evren’s world-building is ambitious. The Dexsortes galaxy feels lived-in, with enough political tension and cultural hints to suggest there’s much more beneath the surface. At times, the scope can feel big, maybe even overwhelming, but that scale also reinforces the idea that Kaytrix is just one person trying to hold together something much larger than himself.

What stands out most is the central theme: identity. Rise of Legends isn’t only about overthrowing a tyrannical force. It’s about shedding myths, facing uncomfortable truths, and deciding whether you’re brave enough to be honest about who you are, even when the galaxy is watching.

It’s a space opera with heart. Fast, dramatic, and emotionally charged, it sets the stage for something bigger while still telling a complete and satisfying story. If you like character driven sci-fi with high stakes and internal conflict woven into the action, this one’s worth picking up.

I was able to get my hands on two ARCs last month and I had a great time reading them.

Thanks to @fptwyman for the Ghosts of Hāikimi ARC
As well as @zsdiamanti and team for the Honor ARC

(Unfortunately because instagram only allows 20 tags per post, I was unable to add Authors @lizdeltonwrites @bryan.wilson.author and @e.a.winters to the post for Honor but I wanted to make mention of them here!)

Check these books out if you’re interested! These Authors are super friendly and kind, and they deserve some support!

Have you read any ARCs lately? If you have, drop their names in the comments.👇

How incredible was it to be a part of the Honor Anthology? I think it might be the best thing I’ve ever done. I will never stop saying thanks to @zsdiamanti who masterminded this whole thing, and invited me to be a part of this wonderful experience. I’ve met so many incredible authors through this, and I’m so proud of the finished product.

If you haven’t picked up your copy of HONOR, it’s not too late. Head to the link in my bio and snag yours today!
