El Salvador is a magical country, with magical people, talented people, ARTSY people. Therefore, it’s no surprise that we are quite sentimental; we suffer, we feel, we remember.

Naturally, photography is a big part of our lives, and we Salvadorans work with analog mediums more than we think. We keep film photography alive on a daily basis.

We love vinyl records. Some of us even still use typewriters. It’s not that we don’t want to move forward; we just understand the value of the ways things were done in the past.

In this section, LŪDUM presents 20 Salvadoran film photographers. Some of them are professionals, others keep it as a hobby, and others use it as a medium for experimentation. But in the end, all of them create with the same tool: LIGHT.
