Rock Climber, musician
A place to share my climbing life

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In the last year-ish I learned and played over 100 songs and performed out somewhere about as many times, and try to do at least one new song whenever I play. I’ve played at about 25 different venues in 5 states and 2 countries. Hard to estimate but I’ve played along with about 50 people from across the continent from all walks of life in the last year. And along the way I’ve listened to more live music than ever before. Almost without exception musicians are the kindest and most open and accepting set of people I’ve ever met, and the support that exists within the greater musical community is unmatched. So I figured I might as well share a bit more regularly. This one’s unrehearsed so I’d like to thank @paratom24 @drakusrecords and @ryanadrums (nice to meet you Ryan) for jumping on, @countrycornerlongisland for being a great place to play with a great community, and @mxwpeters for all the events he puts on and all the work he does

I’m literal years behind updating social media with life experiences. Here’s a group of Indri I followed around for a few weeks in 2019 in Madagascar. Mamma is in charge and carries the little one around for several months. They are the largest lemurs, arboreal, live in groups of an adult female and male with 2 or 3 offspring, travel via vertical clinging and leaping, and have one of the more unique songs you’ve maybe never heard. Heard are the adult female and male, the female being the one you generally hear first.
