We are so grateful for the opportunity to engage in conversation with the Photography students at FIT. Shout out to Eric McNatt for the invitation!!! We shared practical advice on how to start in the competitive field of photography, discussed the career path of production and business basics.

We were impressed by the passion for photography in the room and the advanced business acumen (every student is already on LinkedIn!!!!) We had a great time and look forward to future opportunities to work with FIT.

It is a privilege to share our knowledge and expertise. We hope that it will help others excel in the future.

I wanted to give these last 5 @pitchfork shoots I worked on and the artists the proper shine now that they have all run. Amazing images by each photographer I have been super lucky to work with (over the years, they are all so talented). ❤️🙏🙌

Now we are February — and counting down for the first 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 event in just 19 days with the sublime Mike Albo!! Prepare to hear me talk about teenagers a lot leading up to Feb 19th. Mike’s book is beautifully focused there, as well as other interesting places that we’ll get into with him at @the_parkside_lounge_nyc — I have a particular fondness for depictions of youth culture from the 70s and 80s and this book added new dimensions to my obsession that now radiates throughout the astral planes. It will all make sense when you join us! The Parkside Lounge ~ 2.19.23 5pm ~ event link in my biography ~ Come join us!! #readingsatparkside #mikealbo #anotherdimensionofus @albomike ✨💛💫

𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Very excited to kick off this new series with one of my favorite writers/performers/thinkers/dazzle dancers/makers — Mike Albo! Mike wrote a beautiful book called 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝘀 that is described as “a thrilling science fiction story about teens from the past and future who travel to the astral plane to save the ones they love” — and I’ll add that it’s about the magic hive of a library when you are a queer teen; the mind-opening power of poetry; and desire and identity across 1986 and 2044 and throughout the astral planes. You may find it in the Young Adult section of a bookstore, but that’s just geography. I loved this book and I sobbed when it ended and I hope he’ll write another one because the world he created needs to be a series. Come join us at the best bar in NYC at 5pm on a Sunday in February. #ReadingsatParkside #AnotherDimensionofUs #mikealbo @albomike @the_parkside_lounge_nyc #happynewyear 🖤
