A new mural is on its way to Downtown Santa Ana's Historic District in celebration of two city institutions.

The art piece is a collaboration between the Orange County School of Art and dance nonprofit Relámpago del Cielo. The organizations are both celebrating anniversaries this year.

CBS LA spoke to the team of artists behind the mural, including recent alumni from the school of art who were hand-chosen to bring this piece to life.

The mural is expected to be completed in mid-September. It's located on Fourth Street above the "Wursthaus" restaurant.

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach just leveled up! 👀🏁

Three of our pedestrian bridges are now complete, transformed with vibrant murals that celebrate Long Beach culture, community, and creativity.

Brought to life by local artists from the Creative Class Collective, these bridges are a visual experience connecting art, motorsports, and the energy of Long Beach! 🎨🏎️
