@ericpollard has been a longtime friend of evo and we’re now excited to have him onboard our Athlete Team. A freeskier, designer, filmmaker, and artist - it’s mind blowing how one individual can possess so much talent in this list of varying ventures.

With 22+ years as one of the most progressive names in freeskiing, Eric is constantly evolving and pushing our ideas as to how we approach sliding on snow. Eric developed the first fully symmetrical ski, co-founded Nimbus Independent, and has won a Powder Award for Movie of the Year for his film Drawn from Here. He then went on to co-found @seasoneqpt with the intention of bringing skiers and snowboarders closer together, alongside a committing the brand to sustainability and gender equality.

Eric is proof that the most influential people aren’t always the ones making the most noise. We feel lucky to be working alongside this skiing legend. Welcome to the team!

@mspfilms has been documenting the best freeskiers in the world for as long as @evo has been selling the best gear. We share roots - both MSP and evo were born in Washington. And most importantly, we share a passion - skiing. Celebrate with us together at the evo 25 Years of Film Watch Party. It’ll go down like the good old days; antics, hootin’ & hollering, prizes, athlete shenanigans, and rumour has it @brycephillips is gearing up for some crowd surfing.

With appearances from athletes @ingridbackstrom, @pepfujas, @addisonrafford, and more. This is one you don’t want to miss.

🎟️ Get your tickets now! Link in bio to grab ‘em 🎟️

October 2nd. 6-9pm. evo Seattle Campus.

I got the privilege to make some movies from 2000 to 2016 with some amazing skiers, filmers, and editors. What’s your favorite movie?

Looks like I will be making another one releasing next fall…. STOKED!

It’s been over a decade that we have been going to Hawaii for a month each summer, and although the kids are growing up and schedules get challenging, the sunsets, surf, fun, sun, friendships, and beauty remains the same. Good for the soul 🌈🤙🥳

Yesterday Forster Meeks asked me, ‘what is the sickest shit I have ever filmed?’ My answer was this segment from the 2007 movie IDEA.

This segment is filmed in about 2 and a half hours with Andy Mahre, Pep Fujas and Eric Pollard. Previous to this shoot I have never seen personally any large back country jumps landed switch in my whole ski career of making movies for the previous 9 years. What I witnessed that day was fucked.

They all started with 180s on this gap step down that we called The Mack Dawg Stepdown. Then Ike Smith hit it the biggest and the most perfect landing of the day with his 360. Then Pollard came with a switch straight air, Andy then with a switch 360, Pollard with a switch rodeo 720 and then Pep shut it down with his underflip tail to switch. AND their switch in runs were not normal to watch.

A Truely special day in skiing.

Ski movie teasers use to be very important to help get sponsors for your film and they were normally done by end of January of the filming season… meaning all the shots in this teaser came before January 15.

This might be my favorite teaser of all time. I still get stoked 22 years after editing it with Shane Nelson. It is the teaser to Tanner and I’s 2004 movie WSKI 106
