I have been trying to find the words that properly articulate what this trip meant to me. To witness such a welcoming culture so rooted in community, kindness, and joy was just what my heart needed.

There really is nothing like sharing stories, living spaces, and meals with women that come from all different places and backgrounds. I am in awe of the power of women, the way we encourage, inspire, and love one another. It was an absolute gift to laugh, cry, and find deep friendship in these women that were strangers two weeks ago.

There were 4:30 am wake up calls to surf, amazing sunsets, beautiful boat rides, friendly locals, cute island puppies, powerful workouts, and an amazing group of girls to share it all with!

I leave the Philippines with an exhausted body but a very full heart. The world is big and beautiful and full of wonderful humans. Thank you to @thesaltysouls for making all of this possible.

What an absolute dream of an experience. Two weeks of mermaid training and ocean play. Women from all walks of life gathering to grow, connect, be present, and reset.

I cannot express how full my heart is. Sisterhood is so special. It’s playful, silly, supportive, raw. In such a short amount of time, we went from strangers to planning meet ups in the near future. From cheering each other on in the line up, cackling at hilarious stories, and opening up about personal hardships, the experience of being a woman and connecting with other like minded women is so so so special.

Grateful for @thesaltysouls for bringing everyone together in this magical place, @puntapunta_siargao for providing the dreamiest sanctuary, and the best surf coaches. And major shout out to @_divingnemo for the most amazing underwater photos I could ask for.

This trip has made me feel reconnected to an old version of myself that I have deeply missed. The Philippines will forever hold a special place in my heart 🫶🏼🌊✨

The no-timeline grief journey.

This infinite hole inside that never leaves.

The hundreds of times I hear, “You’re so strong,” and all I can think is how much I would have preferred a life that didn’t require that much strength.

I didn’t choose to be strong. I was forced to be.

Because there’s a little human fully depending on me, and only me.

So you still get up.
You still smile.
You still show up.

Because there’s someone in the sky I want to keep making proud.
