Nothing but smiles over here! Another year, another great event for Shootout for Soldiers! 8 years now I’ve played in this event, met so many fantastic people throughout the years. Developed some unforgettable memories and friendships along the way. Had some fun with these photos, hopefully y’all enjoy!

I used to say I was unofficially officially a part of the team, but now I am so grateful and thankful to be a part of the team officially as a local director bringing this amazing event to Nashville. Looking forward to many more years and memories helping grow the game and bringing the veteran and first responders community together with the local community, playing the game we love and having a great day with friends and family. 🇺🇸🫡🥍

Got my helmet ready to go for @sfsohio tomorrow. I’ll be playing in the All Goalie Game, Veterans Game, and a couple of runs with @fort.detroit_lacrosse @trashpandaslax and @oh10_lacrosse

And of course, I will be proudly wearing the name of my friend and brother SSG James Hackemer

What a great time back on Long Island. Hanging out with best friends and family, playing some lacrosse, and sitting pool side getting some sun for a week. Not pictured, but I spent a lot of my time with pizza, BEC, and Carvel as well. I love y’all duders! ❤️

Wouldn't mean the same if it wasn't for family and friends.

The opening ceremony and singing of our national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner by Caitlyn Salus. We were joined by Supervisor John Ferretti, Town Clerk Kate Murray, National Chair Erik Mineo, and Long Island Co-Chairs Mike Nelson and Tom Campolettano.

Thank you to Caitlyn Salus for coming once again to sing our nation's anthem, and to the Town of Hempstead for hosting our event for the first time in our event's history!

Attention all beach-goers:
SFS Long Island would like to announce a location change to this year's event. We have sailed on from John J. Burns Park in Massapequa to the Town Park at Point Lookout!

This will mark our first event within the Town of Hempstead! Dates and time are still the same - July 8-9th, 2026 from 9am to 9am.

We will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country, the United States of America. So along with the $50 sign up, we will include a commemorative jersey and t-shirt! Be sure to reserve it today!

We will be hosting the Never Forget First Responders Tournament, as well as Youth Boys and Girls Tournaments. More details to come.

If you have any questions about registration (regarding or not regarding the tournaments) or anything else, feel free to shoot us a DM or email mike.nelson@shootoutforsoldiers.com or tom.campolettano@shootoutforsoldiers.com

Thank you, and we'll see you there!
