Still reflecting on an invigorating Frieze Week in London! The city was packed with amazing exhibitions, but I want to give one more special shoutout to @fairplayartfair. It’s a brand-new concept from @ryan.stanier (founder of The Other Art Fair) that champions independent artists by removing upfront booth fees for participants. Artists were selected by a panel of industry experts, making it a brilliant addition to the week. Thank you @fairplayartfair for showing one of my pieces in the curated section over the weekend. I had a fab time hanging out at the Fair, getting to show people around. I even sorted a Central St Martins 1992 reunion there on Friday! A great selection of Art and artists on show and a really wonderful Fair to be a little part of. Thanks to @ryan.stanier @daisymilward and the team. Also sharing some of my favourite works from the Fair. My painting, THE PILLARS, is still available to buy through @fairplayartfair #fairplayartfair #nicoleroseart #abstractlandscape #oiloncanvas #artfairs

Counting down the days to share new work at the inaugural Fair Play Art Fair! It’s also my first participation in a fair so excited to experience something new! And very happy to be in such good company and to make new art friends!! A little about how the work begins, and what happens to the image along the way. I’ll be showing new paintings at Fair Play Art Fair, 15–18 October, One Marylebone. Booth 69, First Floor. I really hope you can join us! Never Let Me Go by @erinbirdart Exploring transformation through water as both material and metaphor, Erin's practice draws on her background as a first-generation Irish-American shaped by histories of silence and upheaval. She developed an experimental technique she calls waterprinting, submerging photographic prints so that water erodes and reshapes them into painterly abstraction. This process reflects the instability of memory, its ability to fracture, shift, and reforme, while opening a dialogue between the figurative and the abstract and exploring vulnerability, resilience, and the potential for renewal. Using found family photographs as a starting point, @erinbirdart explores what is passed down, what fails to remain intact between people, and the gap between ourselves and the families we come from. #erinbird #maisonmyel
