an end to studio days with my favorite peoplešŸ˜­ 6 years of school officially done. forever thankful for every moment and person that got me here and for the ones who believed in me, even when I didnā€™t at times. will miss all our late studio nights, sweet treat runs, travels and memoriesšŸ„¹ thank you for giving me so much more than a degreešŸ¤ @fiu_soa

When I started on this career path, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. People were confused and worried (understandably so) and probably expecting me to pivot to a more conventional role. However from the moment I started designing 6 years ago it quickly became evident that this is what I was born to do. Studio became my safe space and second home, and the worlds I created were my happy places and escape from the outside world. While I knew early on that is something I could be successful at, I never imagined how much it would change meā€¦ or the kind of people it would bring into my life. I didnā€™t just grow as a designerā€”I grew into a completely new version of myself, surrounded by friendships that will stay with me forever. I was always told that university is where you find your people and your place in the world. I can honestly say I found so much more than that. To my family, I know my ups and downs havenā€™t always been the easiest to deal with on this journey (sleep deprived mood swings and all) but your love and support has carried me through the finish line. I may not show it often, but I love you and this has been for you just as much as it has been for me. Thank you. To my friends, thank you for inspiring me and pushing me beyond myself everyday. From late nights, endless deadlines, study abroad we developed such a close bond, and I will forever be grateful for that. I canā€™t canā€™t wait to look back on this crazy ride 20 years from now and laugh about the crazy moments weā€™ve had together. FIU, thank you for helping me find myself.
