Team Champs was this past weekend, and my biggest personal development I have to report since last year’s Team Champs is that I only got my hair cut ONE (1) TIME. This was definitely the longest I’ve ever grown my hair out which was cool. But I’m happy my hair is short again bc ts got annoying.

Aside from my hair’s growth, I’m still trying to grow as a person (cheesy line). What else is new! It’s lowkey pretty tiring always feeling like you need to be BETTER and SMARTER and FASTER and STRONGER and WEALTHIER and HEALTHIER and ETC. But eventually struggles are realized in results. Maybe those results aren’t always what you want, but they’re usually what you need.

In running terms, I got a lot of results that I needed 😂 after many years of getting results that I wanted.

Everything else though, I got a lot of results that I wanted… after definitely struggling through a few years of results that I needed.

In Manhattan Track Club’s third time at NYRR’s Team Champs, men finished 8th and women finished 5th. Out of all the teams in NYC! Such a huge improvement over the last two years, and we are only going to keep getting better!

Last August, my brother @alex_connelly_ and I spread some of my dad’s ashes here at @unadillamx SKY SHOT. We spent countless memories here with our dad, so it was really special for us.

Bandit Grand Prix with MTC. This was a lot of fun. Recently I’ve changed so many of my priorities around running, which has felt foreign, but necessary. I still have a desire to compete and push myself, but I also don’t have the bandwidth to spend all my of my time trying to be the best I can be. Lately I’ve been trying to find a balance between embracing all the cool new things in my life, without totally getting away from the sport that’s given me so much.

I started a full time teaching job at Collegiate School NYC. I’m also coaching their XC/Track/field teams with @rebekastowe. This is
