You may not like the way he speaks or the way he looks or he is not your political choice... but he is OUR President! A little “dab” for him, his team and all the work they put in everyday to figure this mess out wouldn’t hurt! Be AMERICAN!

A year ago today we closed escrow on this beautiful custom home that Derek designed and built. This was our baby and a lot of love, sweat and tears went into this project. [Tears? Did I mention we built it during the wettest fall on record in Texas?] You see, we had a vision for our business but all of our 25+ years experience were 1600 miles away. We needed a local project that reflected our heart, our vision, the quality of our work, and our slightly out of the box thinking that we didn't feel was represented in our area. "What makes us different?" That was the question that prompted us to launch our business in 2017.

So we took an educated and experienced leap and built one beautiful home. The perfect family came along just weeks before we received the Certificate of Occupancy and they loved it too. It was a sweet transition.

There were so many Godwinks involved in this project from buying the land to signing on the final paperwork. And everything we hoped this project would be came to fruition - we met realtors, designers, contractors, new clients and lots of other people along the way. To all of you who stood by us, prayed for us, showed up for us and blessed us along the way, we say THANK YOU!

This house was the foundation for our Story Builders business. What an adventure it has been!

My beautiful friend Erin @erinkvistad is a child of God, a wife, a mother, a friend, a coach, a mentor, a Spartan Warrior, a marathon runner, a blogger a dream house builder, and so so much more. She is driven to lift woman up and shine a light on the beauty we all have within. She started a blog on women she believes have overcome extraordinary circumstances in everyday lives. She is calling it “Super Women” she has chosen 20 women to write about, to share their stories. I was and am honored to have been asked by her to share mine. I have been blessed in more ways than one by opening up and sharing my story. It has allowed parts of me to heal that I didn’t even realize needed it. In a way it has set me free! I feel lighter and better. I can’t thank her enough. If you would like you can go to her page @erinkvistad and click on her link tree to see her personal blogs and read it, I myself have loved reading about her first two amazing woman and can’t wait to read the stories of the next 17. Thank you again my sweet friend Erin♥️🙏🏻🙌🏻
