Thought we knew what insane was until last month!!!

Went on a team trip we’d booked months in advance, came back 3 days before the studio launch, stayed up till 5:30am cleaning the place for our first class at 9am (this deserves a separate post) and now… our home is complete, especially with you guys in it!!!

A year ago, we wouldn’t have believed you if you told us this is what September 2026 would look like.

What a month.

We WERE bored. Of the same transitions, the same routines, the same classes handed down on repeat. Of moving through our days on autopilot, half-awake, quietly craving something that felt more alive.

Beam began as a way out of that feeling. A response to the heaviness of adult life, to the sense of being boxed in by habit and expectation. We wanted to build a space where movement and music could meet, but more than that, a canvas where curiosity led, where trial and error was welcome, and where community could gather not just to perform, but to play.

And when we gave ourselves permission to experiment - to truly fuck around and find out - SO MUCH unfolded.

From our very first SESSIONS class: an idea still tender and raw, held with so much care - to Beam Fest somehow happening in a two-month fever dream. From teaming up with dream collaborators, to meeting 500+ of you along the way. Thank you for showing up and showing so much love!!

We’re endlessly grateful for the chance to create, to obsess, to play with the things we love alongside all of you. This year was beautiful - and we can’t wait for the next!!!

We asked our partners from the Heveya x @air_cccc event to define wellness. 🤍

Swipe to hear these inspiring definitions from: Bella Koh (@catslavery) from @theslowschool_, Erin (@erinxyf) from @_beamworld, Layla (@soma.spirals) from @somahaus, Karmen (@tangkarmen), and Chef Charly.
