A story once deemed so scandalous it was banned in 18th-century France. In Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s choreography, we follow Manon as she is torn between her devotion to Des Grieux and the security offered by wealth. Her choices carry a heavy price, revealing the unforgiving nature of a society where status often dictates the value of human dignity.

Její volby s sebou nesou tragické následky a odhalují neúprosnou povahu tehdejší společnosti, kde lidská důstojnost často ustupuje společenskému postavení.
