Week night cook w/the familia. I love cooking with the kids, it probably takes 3 times as long but it’s totally worth it, great memories and we get to slow down time for just a bit and be in the moment. No processed bs, simple clean real ingredients as God intended. Recipe:
Food Processor
Ingredients
Basic Basil Pesto:
½ cup toasted pine nuts
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 small garlic clove
¼ teaspoon sea salt
freshly ground black pepper
2 cups basil leaves
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for a smoother pesto
¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions
In a food processor, combine the pine nuts, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper and pulse until well chopped.
Add the basil and pulse until combined.
With the food processor running, drizzle in the olive oil and pulse until combined. Add the Parmesan cheese, if using, and pulse to briefly combine. For a smoother pesto, add more olive oil.

As I get ready to open here in North Carolina, I want to take a second to thank Texas, and the barbecue community that welcomed me and that I’ve been fortunate to be a part of for the last 11 years. Barbecue family is like none other. Thank you for letting me be a part of these golden years. (P.s. First photo from 2015 Texas monthly BBQ Fest… and last photo is one of my favorites, but be warned 😂)

We have officially maintained our Michelin Guide recommendation for the THIRD year in a row! And mannnn, talk about a fucking journey.

If these walls could talk… the long days, sleepless nights, blood, sweat, tears, the lessons, the growing pains, and all the moments that made us question what the hell we were doing. 😂 But through it all, we kept showing up, kept cooking, and kept believing in this crazy little dream of ours.

To our incredible 2M family, this one is YOURS. ❤️ Thank you for believing in our vision, for showing up, for giving a damn, and for putting your heart into what you do. None of this happens without you. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are so damn proud of you.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, stood in line, brought their families, told their friends, and supported us along the way THANK YOU! You’ve helped turn our dream into something bigger than we ever imagined.

Three years of Michelin recognition, and we’re still those same Southside kids who just wanted to make some damn good BBQ and feed people. 🥹
