And just like that… it’s over.

Months of keeping this secret. Months of reliving every fire, every cook, every high and every low. Last night San Antonio finally got to see how our story ended.

We’re Pitmasters Champions. 🏆🔥

But this picture might mean more to me than anything else. This was us after it was all over. No cameras. No judging. No competition. Just the two of us sitting by the fire, exhausted, smiling, and realizing what the hell we had just done.

We went into this together and we finished it together.

To everybody in San Antonio who packed the watch parties, screamed at the TVs, sent messages, showed love to 2M, and rode with us every damn week — thank you. We felt all of it.

And to everyone we competed beside, nothing but love and respect. We were surrounded by some bad motherfuckers.

We’ll remember this one forever.

2M Smokehouse has officially been announced as one of the teams competing on Food Network’s newest barbecue competition series, Pitmasters.

📺 Tune-in: Pitmasters premieres Monday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Food Network and will stream the following day on HBO Max®.

Meet the faces behind 2M Smokehouse 👋🔥

Hi, we’re Esaul & Grecia.

He’s the smoke.
She’s the sugar.

We’re husband and wife, pitmaster and pastry chef, professional food obsessives, and somehow still each other’s favorite person after all these years.

Esaul is the guy tending the fires, chasing the perfect brisket, and proving that sleep is optional when BBQ is involved.

Grecia is the one covered in flour, butter, and questionable amounts of glitter, making desserts and finding ways to put pastry where pastry probably doesn’t belong.

Together, we’ve built 2M Smokehouse from the ground up with a whole lot of hard work, a little stubbornness, and enough coffee to concern medical professionals.

We’re proud San Antonio natives, small business owners, food competitors, occasional TV personalities, and full-time believers that great food brings people together.

One of us measures ingredients.
One of us measures with their heart.

One of us follows recipes.
One of us thinks recipes are merely suggestions.

We’ll let y’all figure out who’s who. 😏

From early mornings at the pit to late nights in the bakery, we’ve spent years building a life, a business, and a dream together one brisket, one croissant, and one crazy idea at a time.

THREE YEARS IN A ROW! 😮‍💨🔥🥹

We have officially maintained our Michelin Guide recommendation for the THIRD year in a row! And mannnn, talk about a fucking journey.

If these walls could talk… the long days, sleepless nights, blood, sweat, tears, the lessons, the growing pains, and all the moments that made us question what the hell we were doing. 😂 But through it all, we kept showing up, kept cooking, and kept believing in this crazy little dream of ours.

To our incredible 2M family, this one is YOURS. ❤️ Thank you for believing in our vision, for showing up, for giving a damn, and for putting your heart into what you do. None of this happens without you. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are so damn proud of you.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, stood in line, brought their families, told their friends, and supported us along the way THANK YOU! You’ve helped turn our dream into something bigger than we ever imagined.

Three years of Michelin recognition, and we’re still those same Southside kids who just wanted to make some damn good BBQ and feed people. 🥹

Here’s to another year of doing what we love, with the people who make it all worth it.

🚨 WE’RE HIRING — DISHWASHER / BUSSER 🚨

2M Smokehouse is looking for somebody who can move fast, stay clean, show up on time and work hard.

Duties include washing dishes, bussing and resetting tables, keeping the dish and work areas clean, taking out trash, restocking and helping our BOH team with basic prep when needed.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, stay on your feet during busy shifts and work well with the rest of the team.

We need somebody dependable and ready to work. No drama, no excuses.

Look at us. So happy. So rested. So blissfully unaware of the absolute MAYHEM that was about to begin. 😂🔥

This was basically Day 0 of Pitmasters. Straight from the airport, an In-N-Out run, then off to the cabins. Some of these badass mfs we were meeting for the very first time, some were familiar faces, but none of us really knew what the hell we were about to go through together.

I really wish we had more BTS from those first few days, because this is one of the only pictures I have before the fires were lit, the clocks started ticking, the sleep disappeared, and shit got REAL. 😮‍💨😂

Looking at it now makes me smile because I’m genuinely grateful we got to cook alongside this crew. Badass pitmasters, chefs, competitors, and even better humans. We came from different places, different backgrounds and completely different styles of cooking then got thrown into the same crazy ass experience.

We competed. We stressed. We laughed. We cooked our asses off. And we made some damn good memories in between.

Little did we know when this picture was taken what was waiting for all of us on the other side of that van ride. 🔥

Right before the mayhem. Right before the fire. Right before Pitmasters.

San Antonio with my wifey and she’s been hearing me talk about 2M Smokehouse for awhile so we stopped by and got a spread. Line was deep at 11am on Thursday, good to see them so busy! I think they have the best Mac & Cheese on the planet, Pork Ribs were excellent, and that Pork Belly was definitely next level. We enjoyed everything, so good, and left happy. Today was one of those “how the hell did we get here?” moments. 🥹❤️

Two kids from the Southside of San Antonio, standing in front of City Council, being recognized for the work we’ve done not only for our city, but for the district and community that helped raise us.

I’m still in awe of how far we’ve come. From a little BBQ joint and a whole lot of big ass dreams… to 2M, Baked, national television, and now this. And somehow, through every crazy idea, every long night, every win and every lesson we’ve gotten to do it together. ❤️

Another beautiful milestone for @2msmokehouse & @baked_satx but an even bigger one for Esaul and I.

And no… this isn’t the end. If anything, we just shifted into the next gear. 😏

Thank you, Councilwoman Viagran @cosa_cd3 for your continued support, for believing in what we’re building, and for recognizing the work happening right here on the South eastside.
