Join Warehouse Journal and the FAUM Workshop for a 3 hour make-and-take sewing workshop! Participants will create a custom bag designed to carry an edition of the Warehouse Journal.

Led by interdisciplinary artist and designer Diane Espiritu, this hands on workshop invites participants to learn or expand their sewing skills while exploring the relationship between storytelling, making, and design.

Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, which imagines stories as vessels carried and shared through time, this workshop asks participants to create their own “carrier bags.” Each participant will sew a bag and receive a copy of one of the past 34 editions of Warehouse Journal to take home inside it.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Participants will leave with a handmade bag, a Warehouse Journal publication of their choosing, and new sewing skills to continue their creative practice.

Tickets are $22.73 per person, and spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Save your spot now at the link in our bio!

Painting was a huge part of my personal healing journey from last year's tragic events. Since then, my paintings have pivoted and have become more intentional with an emphasis on the presence of everyday life.

But for others, emotional healing can look a little different. Whether that's through art, therapy, conversations, journaling, or gathered tables, whatever it may look like, just know that you are never alone. 💞

If we’re being honest, 2025 was a roller coaster. 🎢

Fast and slow. Up, then down. Some really high highs, and some really low lows. But the best part, by far, was the people who joined us on the ride. Our collaborators, advisors, clients, friends, community, and even dogs. 🧡🐾

Thank you for being here, and for seeing us.

Challenging outdated and stigmatized ideas about disability and accessible design is why we do what we do, and this work feels more important than ever. ✨

As we ease into 2026, we’re looking forward to:

More accessible collaborations 🤝
Deeper community connections 🌱
More disabled joy 💛

We hope the same for you.

The clips feature Capella products in home settings, magazine features and award wins, manufacturing and behind the scenes at the Capella workshop, building and showcasing the accessible hotel suite at the Interior Design Show Vancouver, Kaly the founder at various events, and a humming bird visitor to end the year with a moment of joy.

Each one made with care 🧡

We’ve poured time, energy, and love into refining the Holm Stability Mug to get every detail just right:
• A sturdy, stable base 🧱
• A large, easy-to-hold handle 🤲
• A lightweight feel that’s gentle on the hands ☁️

Diane of @espiritudesignstudio has turned our accessible dreams into reality—refining our design with care and now bringing it to life through regular small-batch production. We are so lucky to get to work with people who share our love for purposeful design.

From clay to kiln, this is thoughtful design in motion.
Built to support grip, preserve dignity, and look beautiful doing it.

Because accessibility isn’t just about function.
It’s about how it feels to be seen 💫

Reel Description: Diane is in her studio making the Holm Stability Mug. She assembles the mold, pours the clay slip, releases the mold, and sands and stamps the mug. The mug is then shown coming out of the kiln and in the last shot the mug is sitting on a desk as hot water is poured into it.

Every couple of weeks a group of Mom/parent/caregiver artists get together for support and to talk art and what it is to parent while maintaining an art practice. We all have different mediums and roads travelled to the art world, and I am equally inspired and intimidated by them all. Being a part of this Collective has been such an honour. And now we’re having our first group show! (Sneak peek of my piece included here 👀)
