The Last of Its Kind was an incredible read - one of those rare books that I was already eager to reread before l’d even finished it. The writing is beautifully melancholic, full of love, empathy, and quiet reflection.
Grimbert captures so much emotional depth in such a compact story, weaving a tender and haunting fictional tale of companionship between a scientist and what may be the last of a dying species. It’s moving, understated, and unforgettable.

I prefer a physical copy always, but I prefer to read the e-reader when in bed so I don’t need a light on and it’s comfier to read that way. I kinda h8 audiobooks but they are handy for my commute to work.

Yesterday, I replaced my sarong with a tutu, put on a pair of ballet slippers, and performed in my first ballet dance number at our annual @danceforks Gala Recital.

And it was a BLAST!!!

It's always a great time as we end the dance year with my dance family as I celebrate...
... dragging @sherry.torchinsky to join Miss @hannah.christine.s ballet class with me.
... wearing a tutu for the first time!
... watching my daughter, the dance teacher, do her thing on stage and behind the scenes. #proudmommoments
... watching my husband strut his stuff with the rest of the Dancing Dads
... volunteering with the best dance mom sisters in the world!
... sharing the day with family and friends who came to watch.
... another successful year in the books thanks to the continued hard work and dedication of Miss @kendrablake_ , Miss @carla_leanne25, and the whole Royal Dance at the Forks staff ❤

Thank you to everyone who came to watch us perform! It means the world to us.

Can't wait to start this all over again in September!
