Bathroom Reveal

From boring, white and basic to a wee bit of Edwardian charm with a camp wink.

One of our greatest discoveries during this bathroom renovation was finding the original Edwardian wall tiles, hidden and beautifully preserved beneath layers of paint and newer modern tiles. I mean, how lucky were we?!

Of course, we couldn’t let a little piece of our home’s history go to waste, so restoring and incorporating those original period features became a huge part of bringing this bathroom back to life.

A little old, a little new, a little camp… exactly how we like it. 🤌🏼

Featuring some of our favourites:

We’ll be sharing the whole renovation journey, obviously. But for now… voilà! 💚🩷

This is gross 🤮 sorry but, I’m just a girl trying to decorate her parents bedroom on a budget - I did not sign up for this kind of Facebook Marketplace betrayal 🫣
-
Saying that though, the drawers in our bedroom I got from an antique store and when I got home I found a load of ladies underwear list down the back 🤣 some old dear must have wondered why she kept losing them 🤪
-
Meanwhile the rest of Instagram is uncovering beautiful parquet flooring and perfectly preserved Victorian tiles 🤣 have you ever uncovered something gross/strange? 😅
-
This was not on my bucket list OR my to do list thank you very much 🫠

Ad | master bedroom glow up. I liked our bedroom before but since the addition of this beautiful @essellehome x Kate Hewitt ‘Rosie Posie’ Olive and Pink wallpaper I absolutely LOVE it. The olive brings a rich, luxe feel to the space, enhancing the warmth of our vintage and new furniture. I love the sense of luxury the darker shade brings to the space and the impact wallpaper has on the feel of our master bedroom @our_bears_home

Welcome to my next project ✨ and my biggest project yet! This is a bit of a different style of content for me, but this one is very close to my heart and I felt it was the best way to introduce you to what I’m working hard on behind the scenes 🫶🏼
-
It’s a TIGHT budget and an even tighter turnaround so you can expect lots of little hacks and tips I’ll be sharing whilst I bring this one to life 🩷 I’m already 4 days deep and extremely overwhelmed 😅 but that’s also because they can’t sleep in here due to breathing issues (and no bed) whilst I’m trying to pull off the makeover of the century 🤣
-
And of course, like any old house, I’ve uncovered ISSUES 🫠 so… wish me luck 🤣 and follow along as I share with you in real time ⏰

Vestibule plans⭐️

I love this wallpaper for in here! The colours will be great to work with and it’s going to be easy to pair with fabric for the bench seating and paint colours!
Honestly can’t wait to rearrange the utility and include all the best washing/laundry storage ideas 🤣🤩

ad Fabric effect wallpaper like this just screams boutique hotel and that is exactly how I want my living room to feel when I walk in. It adds so much depth and texture without introducing another pattern to the mix, so it gives me free rein to go wild with all the upholstery and window dressing fabrics!

This particular wallpaper from Esselle Home is called Duxton, comes in 5 colourways (which I now absolutely cannot make a decision between) and is £60 a roll. It’s part of their Exotic islander collection, I’ve added the link below. And because its paste the wall, it actually means I can do the installation myself 🙌

ad I HAVE MY OWN WALLPAPER 🥹

Wow I can finally say it…I’ve designed my own wallpaper collection with @essellehome 😭

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I’m never going to choose the safe option. I love
rooms that feel warm, layered and a little unexpected patterns that clash but somehow just
work.
These wallpapers are a bit of me and hopefully a bit of you too.
Six designs. 26 colourways. Heritage-inspired florals, botanicals and stripes in burgundy, blush,
blue, sage and olive all designed to be mixed, layered and properly lived with. I have added
Fern Wave in Sage Green to my bedroom and WOW isn’t she a beauty
Seeing something that once existed only in my head finally hanging in my own bedroom feels
completely surreal.

The Kate Hewitt x Esselle Home collection is officially LIVE! I’m so chuffed and genuinely can’t
believe I’m writing that.

Please tell me what you think and which design is your favourite 🤍
