Some works from last night’s PV of the SFSA DRAWING Open @noformatgallery @secondfloorstudios
Yet again so lovely to see the hands (& the rest of them!) behind the work, many who are friends. Not possible to photograph & feature 100 works!
Full list of the 100 artists & more on @sumi_perera2_superpressedition

SFSA celebrates its 25th Anniversary & I’ve shown in a few Drawing & Painting OPENS over the years:
https://www.secondfloor.co.uk/drawing-open

Thanks to Matthew Wood, Nichole Herbert Wood & Hannah Cushion for organising it; to Jonathan Beaumont & Matt for hanging; to Euan Stewart for ‘finishing my homework’ by drawing on the walls around my piece.

Hannah C who did most of the admin, has a collaborative piece inviting others to draw…

Images:

2.Euan Stewart (silverpoint)
3.Louisa Crispin &
4.Russell Heron & Tom Cartmill (above Russell’s head)
5.Jonathan Alibone
6.Su Bonfanti, Ros Barker, Caragh Savage, etc
7.
8.Jon Beaumont et al. (Tom Cartmill’s fragment…)
9.
10.video of The Architectural Uncanny XII, my work in the show, shot at my neighbour’s build @niklasrichardson - since there is a nice video already posted by @noformatgallery yesterday of Euan Stewart drawing on the walls around my piece in situ, on my instructions. #building #fabricofthebuilding #weaving #blocks #buildingblocks

Trying to tag & identify as many as I can identify…can you tag yourselves on the facebook share too? Thanks.

Great to see Claire Mont Smith (who will have group show here too) & her partner David.

Also dropped in en route to the Ben Oakley Gallery to see my mate John Pedder’s & Patrick Calhoun’s show. Another post to follow soon. @benoakleygallery_ @johnapedder @patrickcolhoun
