What a great way to save money + slow travel + experience one of Europe’s most unique train journeys - The Good Night Train aka @europeansleeper 🚝 We finally had a chance to travel overnight by train from Germany to the Netherlands (on the longer Prague to Brussels route): 👉🏼 My partner and I had a private cabin all to ourselves, with full flat beds made-up for us, a detachable table, and even a ladder to climb to the upper births! 👉🏼 I usually read before sleeping, and I could do that even on the train with a cozy little lamp (such a nice touch), as we traversed the countryside of Germany. 👉🏼 It felt like a dream to fall asleep in Berlin and wake up to see the sunrise somewhere above the fields and meadows in the Netherlands! 👉🏼 The train was delayed by about an hour, so I got time to do some morning journaling! 👉🏼 The train also connects Berlin all the way to Paris! Would you try this overnight train while travelling across Europe?

📍Share this hack with your travel buddy before your Paris trip, Monet’s Garden is easier (and cheaper) than you think. Everyone’s obsessed with the Eiffel Tower and Louvre, but this Giverny day trip from Paris is the most underrated thing on my whole itinerary. Claude Monet’s actual house and garden, yes, the Pinterest-coded pink-and-green one, yes, the one from Emily in Paris. 🚆 How to get there: Take the train from Gare Saint-Lazare to Vernon-Giverny station (~50 mins) : €17 per person each way From there, hop on the shuttle bus straight to Monet’s house (~15-20 mins) tickets available on the spot, no pre-booking needed for the bus : €5 per person 🎟️ Tickets: Book your entry tickets for online in advance they sell out fast, especially weekends: €13 If online tickets are sold out or the line looks long, get the 25€ combo ticket with museum entry it skips the queue entirely. Did this myself and saved so much time. ⏰ Time needed: 3-4 hours is enough to cover the house, garden, and the village at an easy pace. 🌸 When to go: Open April to November, go in late May for the wisteria on the Japanese bridge, or June-July if you want the pond in full bloom.
