Nothing makes me happier than an outdoor shower-especially in the winter- and these days I’ll take joy wherever I can find it! I also really appreciate a shot of color and pattern and a well-loved towel—The one I get excited about when I see it in the clean laundry basket. The little things that feel like big things are things I’m holding onto to❤️🌈👯🙌🏽 #biggestlittlethings #findjoy

This restored 19th-century cabin in rural Mendocino County is the ultimate rustic retreat. Topanga-based interior designer @eva_holbrook helped transform this one-bedroom redwood-paneled hideaway near Ukiah, CA, into the ultimate low-key escape. Located on 2,000 acres of land, TLC went into every detail reviving the guest cottage, barn, and former distillery. Holbrook kept the original terracotta tile backsplash and floors when updating cabinetry which was milled from redwood found on the property. To learn more about this beautiful home, grab our latest print issue or head to Sunset.com.

Happy Summer Solstice to all of you out there taking in every last ray! This evening’s solstice capture care of ☀️ lady @eva_holbrook - hiding out from the wind in Crete with a picnic and a glass of wine.

Why does the solstice feel like the beginning of summer when every day after is shorter? 🧐

Think of the coolest grandmother you know — a Diane Keaton-esque woman who makes you fantasize about a sun-drenched retirement at the seashore. From this aspirational persona, the #coastalgrandmother interior design style has sprung. Want to know more? We’ve got you covered with our newest blog post, which shares tips from designers who specialize in coastal homes. Tap the link in our bio to see which Native Trails products are coastal grandmother-approved!
