A monster task handled by a monster team over the course of a long week (and a tiny bit more) all financed through public donations. While we worked for a week, the fund raising took months and money IS the biggest obstacle between old and new bolts. If you can- leave a donation in the link in our bio and keep reporting any issues you may find on routes 💗💗

This week was a special time of long hard days of work mixed with anniversaries and birthday parties. There is something special about working hard together for the climbing community. We all learned, we all grew, we all ate large quantities of panini. May another one come soon.

Here at San Vito lo capo, we keep real traditional values of MANual labour alive. The family is everything and a man’s duty is to keep it safe and protected. That’s why only the strongest, the most stoic and the most mustachioed keep a watchful eye over the drag-oops I mean crag. Power tools, testosterone and power screams, baby. You just sit pretty and let the boys do the work.

🌈🌈JKKKK climbing and the outdoors is for EVERYONE. 🦄🦄 every muscle mommy, trad daddy and non binary baddie fuel this community. So get involved :) climbing season has official BEGUN. Come hang at the @timbuktuhostel to meet climbers, have a beer, visit the climbing shop and info point. Be a part of the rebolting community by helping us gather data, or if you feel you have other particular skills let us know! I've been developing a block here in Magic Wood over the past couple of months. It was covered in moss but the potential was clear.

It was inspired by a conversation with @my_climbing_diary about coming to Magic Wood where she said 'what if it's too hard? What if I don't like it?' And I've had or heard a few conversations like that, often from women+ climbers who feel a bit intimidated by a place with a reputation for hard climbing, although there's plenty for everyone in reality. Those people also seem to prefer slab climbing, so I developed this block for them.

I've established three lines, all named after women/enby climber friends. This was the first: Eva Emu 5A (after ma bae @evaperrinfontana)

Thanks to @bodhi_climbing @edelweiss_generoso_bodhicamp for the opportunity to give something back to this wonderful place that I love so much.

The 211th Story: I’m officially a Hatha Vinyasa Yoga teacher!💚🧘🏽‍♂️

At 15 yo, when I saw yoga on a TV show, I was mesmerized by the movements and was left with the thought that I’d like to try it one day.

In 2020, when COVID showed up, during quarantine I started practicing yoga with YouTube videos from @bohobeautifullife because I really wanted to learn about this practice. The flow, the movement and the stretching were calling me ahah.

1.5 years later, when the quarantine restrictions were lifted, I signed up for my first yoga class. Coincidentally, my yoga teacher was from my hometown and had left the corporate environment for yoga.

During the same time, I started to struggle with some horrible health issues, but 4–5/7 days a week, I was practicing 20 minutes of yoga. Even though I had no energy or strength to practice it, I pushed myself.

5 years later, I’ve realized that actually yoga helped me a lot during that time, mentally and physically, even though I did not notice it at the moment.

During these 5 years, I kept wondering if I should start a yoga teaching course, but my thoughts were stopping me from doing it: I don’t have enough strength, I’m not flexible enough, I have to save money and move abroad, I should do my yoga course in Asia like all the other teachers, I should/I have to/I don’t/I can’t.

Fast forward to the present moment, I moved abroad again, and this year in August my freelancing hours were reduced by my client. Instead of stressing, I told myself, “What if…”

After asking my best friend for the nth time, “Should I do a yoga teaching course now?”, she basically replied that I should do it because I will never shut up about it 🤣 And here I am after 3 weeks of studying and practicing.

So grateful I did it, I achieved this goal and I met so many beautiful people during this course 💚

🐌⭐️💪 DAY SEVEN/EIGHT 🐌⭐️💪 OTTO/NOVE ⭐️🐌🛠️

WE’RE DONE - okay apart from the one line at the end where we ran out of resin and have to go back and finish it once more resin arrives but to be fair it IS a 75m route….

But for now - apart from that - WE’RE DONNEEENENENE. We even got to climb the wall at the end- even though we were so tired I think only one climb got sent 🤣🤣🤣 grazie Millie a Forno Pellegrino for breakfast everyday - they even gifted Eva a t shirt from the boss personally 🤣🤣🤣🐌🐌 and to all the silly jokes and fun.

Thank you to the whole team. It’s been a week of 5am morning, hard work and one million things to organise and manage. But we did it. Rebolt of never sleeping wall. I am working hard to crunch data and create an awesome case study of a sea side crag with titanium.

I’ll write a more rounded post once I catch up on my sleep OH MY GOD NO ALARM TOMORROW THANK CHRIST

Tiny secret shout out to @quantoresti for having vegan food cooked at home. Having meals ready really for me was a life saver and baby you’re a good cook. Also a tiny footprint of you in this project 💗
