Excited to share that Persistence of Vision opens this evening at @techne_art_center ! I’m thrilled to see how brilliant this show turned out, and how well my works look on their minty wall 💚

All thanks goes to @chuckthomasstudio 👏🏼 if you’re in the area, I hope you stop by! Unfortunately I can’t make the opening, but hoping to be there in December for the closing reception. This exhibition is packed with great artists from both coasts, I’m honored to be included!

Studio visit with Eva Struble @evastruble . Eva will be in our upcoming exhibition “Persistence of Vision” opening Oct. 24th, 5-8pm. Eva is one of 12 artists in this exhibition. Persistence of Vision brings together works that are difficult to place within a single category. Here, abstraction is not a fixed style. It may emerge through color, gesture, material, scale, distortion, or an unexpected relationship between forms. The exhibition invites us to look beyond the first label that comes to mind and remain open to meanings that shift as we look.

This exhibition brings together artists from New York, LA, and San Diego. The other participating artists are:

Daniel Wiener
Cynthia Lin
Doreen McCarthy
Rachel Hellerich
Cat Gunn
Dave Kinsey
Kelly Witmer
David Ambrose
Kaori Fukuyama
Kim Manferdi
Gabrielle Berens

This is a blockbuster, not to be missed.

We love the magic that occurs when designers, architects, artists, contractors, and chefs are in a room together. What happens when we cultivate spaces that allow us to open our minds to learning about each other’s practices and processes? That exploration and collaboration inspires all that we do and is Unfold’s mechanism to build confidence to answer the question, “What if?” together.

What if we used everything we already have?
What if the impact was regenerative, rather than extractive?
What if we found a better way?
What if…

🌹: What is better than restoring a space with a Guild of regional artists? Having those artists welcome that space’s artist-in-residence into their homes/studios to share more about our region’s ecology and craft.

Thank you, @nbijanpourfard (and your 🐓 and fruit offerings!!!) for kicking off our Unfold Guild Exchange at your inspiring home and garden for our first UNFOLD Encinitas artist-in-residence @_slimfactory and other Guild members and artists and designers from our local community.

Our Winter 2027 Residency application is open now in the link in our bio. Which Guild artist would you like to learn from?

Meet Eva Struble ✨

Motivated by the dynamism of the landscape, Eva Struble creates abstract paintings that investigate what is altered by humans, reclaimed by nature, and the evolving relationship between the two. In her paintings Karst and Panamint, she translates her sensory experience of place into luminous, layered compositions where geological forms dissolve into vivid color, texture, and atmospheric light.

Eva Struble's work is on view in Immensity of Blue through August 14th at Jane Lombard Gallery.
