POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Week 12 of City Racquet Shop’s Play Tennis Challenge. This was such a fun challenge and I’m thankful to have been part of it. I was able to reconnect with a sport I played in high school, old friends, and new friends. #playtennischallenge #cityracquetshop

Week 11. One more to go. This was a last-minute tennis session. I went to Daly City for a dental appointment and ended up trying out @jstas59’s new toy. Thanks bro. It’s my first time using a ball machine. Hopefully, it won’t be the last. Christmas s around the corner folks. 🤣 #playtennischallenge #cityracquetshop

Blessed to have a few awesome hitting partners and slowly integrating myself into the tennis community but wanted something to be able to hit with consistently and work on my form and tempo.

Laughter is the best medicine and we had tons of it this session. With friends like these, who needs enemies (wait til the end of the video). #playtennischallenge #cityracquetshop

“Had the best time listening to the ‘Nothing On Us Pinay Rising’ panel at @usfcacds ’s Critical Diversity Studies Forum! Big shoutout to @evelynserves and @rubyibarra for sharing such inspiring stories—passing all this wonderful energy over to @ameliaandadinah ! 🇵🇭✨
As we get ready for Filipino American History Month in October, reflecting on our journey with phenomenal leaders like Ruby feels extra special. Don’t miss her upcoming Fil-Am history events across the U.S.!” S/O @healthtechgirl @improbablyjohn @goodcompenny @mikeyalejandro @illamanila #community #yourfavoritetwinstarsameliaandadinah #usf #rubbyibarra #filam

Posting my 2nd video for week 8. I had the chance to hit with @evelynserves and @jstas59 at Balboa Park. This was so worth the drive from Elk Grove. #playtennischallenge @cityracquetshop @ericsantos @evelynserves @jstas59

TODAY IS OPENING DAY! 🎬

Pre-screening of DreamWorks’ Forgotten Island — and I’ve been WAITING to see a film like this on the big screen!

We resonated. We laughed. We cried. We got scared. 😂😭😱 And we left feeling proud to see Filipino stories represented on such a big screen.

And how special that some of our loom+legacy pieces were spotted and represented at the pre-screening all over the US. What a beautiful way to bring our Philippine weaving communities, textiles, and stories along for the journey.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, please go see this film! Opening weekend ticket sales are CRUCIAL. Showing up this weekend helps demonstrate that audiences want to see Filipino stories, Filipino culture, and Filipino voices represented in theaters.

So grab your friends, your family, your barkada, and GO SEE FORGOTTEN ISLAND this opening weekend! Let’s show up, buy those tickets, and make sure our stories are seen, supported, and celebrated on the big screen.

What an amazing way to kick off Filipino American History Month! 🇵🇭

Maraming salamat to my sister @rubyibarra , @plus6thr3e, and @iamoftheworld for the invite! And somehow… I got the LAST spot on the guest list. 🤣 Talk about perfect timing!

TODAY IS THE DAY. TAYO NA! SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES! 🎬

Sending so much love and gratitude to @rubyibarra and @balikbayans for representing our FilAm artist community so beautifully! @ameliaandadinah and I were so lucky to hang out with Ruby and the Balikbayan family in SF for an early screening of @forgottenislandmovie (in theaters Friday, Sept. 25!). Sharing a few snapshots from around the Bay, including the highly anticipated sanjosefoos Sleeping on Gems show. It makes me so happy to see familiar faces out here supporting one another! 🙌 Tayo Na!/FilAm Pride S/O @plus6thr3e @forgottenislandmovie @lyla_boogie @z33zus @evelynserves @illamanila @katmusicworld @milesmedina #community #yourfavoritetwinstarsameliaandadinah #sleepingongems #filam #sanjose

Week 8, done! I decided to build on last week’s video and work on my forehand again. This was the best I hit since this challenge started. #playtennischallenge
