Sophie Scholl was 21 when she was executed for handing out leaflets.

She and her brother Hans were students in Munich and members of the White Rose, a small group that dared to tell their neighbors the truth about the Nazi regime. She was arrested in February 1943 and put to death four days later. She never took back a word.

Sophie has been a hero of mine for a long time. Here she is with her eyes closed and her head bowed, a halo behind her and roses all around for the movement that bears their name. She belongs to that category of "Folk Saint" for me - her courage to the point of death, a holy thing.

Now more than ever, we need heroes like Sophie to look up to. We need to put on their courage, and stand against tyrannical governments wherever they rise.

Each 8x12 print is hand-pulled one at a time at @everboundpress on a 19th-century galley proof press, in rich black oil-based ink on heavyweight printmaking paper. Available unframed or matted in a black frame.

He mows in clean, overlapping rows. He doesn't perform for an audience. And after four years in a city spent making nothing sound like something, Mara finds that the most disarming thing she's ever seen.

Six Saturdays: A Novelette is out now — a slow-burn romance about two people who left careers that looked right and came home to work that was real. It unfolds one Saturday at a time: coffee mugs lifted in greeting across a driveway, a garden hose in July heat, a hardware store on a Wednesday, and a pool in the pines that holds more history than either of them knows at first.

Some things are worth the slow approach. 🌿

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
A fascinating adaptation on north mythology and Heimdal’s role within it, with twists I didn’t see coming and was pleased to see. Jökull of course of my favorite character. I can’t wait to watch this world develop and continue to follow Saga and Kalen’s story.
Thank you to Julia Silverwood for the ARC
