ALL-TIME HALF MARATHON PB! 💪🏼

What a day!

After conquering Ironman Leeds, I took a well-earned week off before slowly getting back into training for Ironman Kona next month. Last Sunday, I put in a 100-mile ride as a test, and today was another big test — The Big Half as a tempo run.

The plan was simple: start sensibly, build the pace every kilometre, and finish strong.

And it went exactly to plan!
I managed to finish strongly and come away with a new all-time Half Marathon PB!

But today was about much more than a PB.

🇳🇵 This run was dedicated to everyone who lost their lives in the devastating floods in Nepal. My thoughts are with all the affected families and communities.

It was also incredible to see a record-breaking number of Nepalese runners taking part this year — over 300 runners from our community!

A huge well done and congratulations to every single finisher, and to everyone who helped raise funds for the flood victims in Nepal. Your support, solidarity and generosity were truly inspiring.

A massive THANK YOU to all the support crews, especially our youth members Coach Kanchan, Newa, Hangma, Aarya and Nova, for your amazing work and support throughout the whole day.

And thank you to The Big Half team for once again giving our community the opportunity to come together, represent Nepal and be part of such a fantastic event. 🇳🇵🏃‍♂️

As I always say…

This is just the beginning.
Lots more to come!

Last brick session done with the crew and my supporter, Sachin bhai while preparing for Ironman Leeds this Sunday.

75 min ride, including 3 × 5 min at race pace, straight into a 20 min run. Legs working, race rhythm dialled in, and another solid session in the bank. 🚴🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️

Couldn’t ask for a better morning — beautiful weather, good company, and a proper session done. ☀️

Finished the only way we know how… relaxed with a coffee afterwards ☕️

Big thanks to Sachin bhai for the support and good vibes! 🙏🏽

Race day is getting closer. Let’s go! 💪🏽

Just over one week to go until IRONMAN Leeds – one of the toughest Ironman courses in Europe. 🏊🚴🏃
3.8km swim
180km bike with over 2500m elevation
42km run over 400m elevation

The hard work is done. The long training sessions, early mornings, sacrifices, and setbacks have all led to this moment. Now it’s time to trust the process and give everything on race day.

There is only a very slim chance of qualifying for the 2026 Ironman World Championship in Kona – the ultimate dream and final destination for every long-distance triathlete. But giving up has never been in my blood. As they say, “Never give up, Sir!” 💪

This journey wouldn’t be possible without the incredible people supporting me:

-Saroj Physio for helping me recover from injury and keeping me race-ready.
-AESN Recruitment Agency for sponsoring my logistics and race gear.
-Rabina Baini and Ruden for keeping me fuelled with energy gels.
-Kanchan chori and Yubraj Sunwor dai guided me on swimming techniques.
-Sachin and Shankar Bhai for being my support crew on race day.
-Everyone active providing the sporting championship sponsorship.
-Newmew Nepal provided me a sports eyewear.
-Adam Elderfield, Mark Scott, and my brother Santosh Karmachaya for sharing their experience, advice, and encouragement throughout this journey.

I’m truly grateful for every bit of support. Now it’s time to leave it all out on the course.

See you in Leeds. Let’s make it count!

What a fantastic morning at Rickmansworth parkrun! 🔥🏃‍♂️
After a long time away from racing a 5K time trial, our Nepal Run UK crew headed to Rickmansworth parkrun. It was a hot morning, but thankfully the course offered plenty of shade along the way. The route has changed since my last visit, making it a fresh challenge.
I decided to test my current fitness while still recovering from vitamin deficiency and to give my new ASICS race gear—kindly gifted by Subas Gurung bhai from Singapore—a proper run.
I’m delighted to have smashed my all-time parkrun PB, stopping the clock at 17:16! 🎉💪
A huge congratulations to Bishnu Chemjong baini on completing her very first parkrun, and to Puskar ji for setting a fantastic new personal best. Your hard work is paying off!
This is just the beginning. There are many more milestones and PBs to come. Keep believing, keep training, and enjoy the journey.

After all the training and work shift arrangements, I wrapped up my last easy run, a quick swim, and an amazing sports massage with Saroj Therapy. 💪🏃‍♂️🏊‍♂️

Some of my muscles were feeling tight and tired, but thanks to physio Saroj Gurung, everything is sorted now.

I would strongly recommend everyone to visit him if you’re dealing with any body aches, tightness, or recovery issues. Thank you as always, Saroj bhai!

Nepali Swimming Gala 2025 – Event Report

What an unforgettable evening filled with action, challenge, inspiration, and excitement. The first-ever Nepali Swimming Gala 2025 in the UK, organised by NBC-UK in collaboration with Nepal Run UK, Swimmerbolts, and NNIPA, concluded with outstanding success last night.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 40 swimmers, ranging from 10-year-olds to veteran athletes, competing across 72 different categories. The energy, determination, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the gala truly made the evening special.

We were honoured to have double Olympian and national swimming champion Miss Gaurika Singh, accompanied by her mother Mrs Garima Rana, as our special guests. Beyond their presence, they generously volunteered and supported the event throughout the evening, inspiring everyone with their humility and dedication.

The event received excellent media coverage from London Nepal New TV, helping share this historic moment with a wider audience.

Our sincere gratitude goes to the invaluable volunteers from NBC-UK, Nepal Run UK, Swimmerbolts, and NNIPA, whose commitment and teamwork were key to the event’s success.

Congratulations to all the competitors for their remarkable performances, and heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, organisers, and sponsors for their incredible support. This is just the beginning—many more milestones to come.
