Aeolian 🌬️

Last Sunday I showed this piece as part of "Are You Still Here?", a group exhibition inside the Old Waiting Room at Peckham Rye Station — and it was such a joy to see people step inside it.

Aeolian is a collaboration with my @starseedofferingsldn, exploring the element of air through sound and image. Sasha composed the soundscape at 638 Hz, tuned to the heart chakra, using vowel toning, the bija mantra Yam, and a crystal singing bowl in F. I built an audio-reactive visual journey around it — dunes, grasses, birds moving through open sky over Camber Sands.

The piece lived inside a small immersive world on the floor: a black mirror box, headphones, sand and rock underfoot, scented air — a tiny frame holding something vast.

Wind is the element we feel but cannot see — it moves through grass, through breath, through the moods we don't choose. That's what this piece was really about: witnessing something larger than yourself, and finding stillness in it.

Thank you to everyone who came, to the curator (@everythingyouseehere) for pulling together such a beautiful show, and to the 20 other artists who made the Old Waiting Room feel like somewhere worth waiting in.

You can read more about the piece and the ideas behind it here: LINK IN BIO

This is the first piece in a series exploring all four elements — more to come 🌍💧🔥

Aeolian 🌬️

This Sunday, I'll be showing Aeolian — a new piece made with my sister, @starseedofferingsldn , exploring the element of air through sound and image.

Wind is the element we feel but cannot see — moving through grass, through breath, through the moods we don't choose. A blustery gust can unmoor us; a gentle breeze can hold us like a hand on the chest.

Sasha composed the soundscape at 638 Hz, tuned to the heart chakra. I built an installation and audio-reactive visual journey around it — dunes, grasses, birds moving through open sky.

Step into the piece — a tiny immersive world, sand and shells underfoot, standing in for the beach itself — and let it transport you there. To witness something vast in a very small frame. And in that stillness, to find a truer voice.

Part of Are You Still Here?, a one-day group show inside the Old Waiting Room at Peckham Rye Station, alongside 20 other artists exploring stillness and presence in the in-between.

Come along — bring friends, family, kids all welcome. Free entry.

📍 Old Waiting Room, Peckham Rye Station, SE15 4RX 🗓️ Sunday 26 July, 1–6pm

We spend so much of our lives waiting.
Waiting for the right moment. For the fear to pass. For permission to begin.
But what if waiting isn’t stagnation…what if it’s incubation?
Wander / Wonder is an experimental immersive experience created with artist and creative director Shirin Majid — a space to pause, reset, and reconnect with your direction.
Through Release → Receive → Become, we move from letting go… into stillness… and towards intention.
A 20-minute sound journey sits at the heart of it — holding you, gently shifting what needs to move.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop… and ask:Where am I going?
