At this boho chic Estate Yountville wedding, @rose.and.co.hatbar set up a custom hat bar for cocktail hour, and guests lined up the moment it opened. The setup worked like a fancy Subway sandwich line: guests went down the row choosing a hat shape and color, then added feathers and bands, and finished at the end with custom branding. Everyone was so eager to make their custom hat, and it was fun to watch how creative people got with their own personalized look. It gave guests something to talk about, which made it a natural icebreaker for people who hadn't met yet. It also turned into a great prop for photos. And because the hats suited the boho design of the wedding so well, the whole thing felt like part of the day instead of an add-on. Most favors get left behind or tossed the next day. A hat that guests styled themselves is something they'll keep, wear, and remember where they got it. If you're planning a Napa wedding and want a cocktail hour people talk about long after it ends, a hat bar is one to put on your list. Welcome to The Claire Pettibone Bridal Suite at Beringer in Napa Valley. For the past year, I’ve had the joy of dreaming up this very special space, inspired by the history and beauty of the Rhine House, and by so many of the things that have always found their way into my work: nature, art, vintage romance, and a little bit of whimsy. I wanted to create a place of beauty and calm for the moments before the ceremony. A place to dress, reflect, gather with the people you love, and take in the anticipation of everything about to unfold.
