Working on an oil painting of a vintage Kenner Sea Wee for a toy art show 💖🎀🧜🏾‍♀️🌊🎄I haven’t painted for awhile and it’s so relaxing.. I love painting toys. It gives me time to contemplate the design details of the toy. I like thinking about how the designer at the time created the design, back in the 70s, 80, 90s the designers used hand illustration techniques like pen and gauche to create the concept art.. I would LOVE to see the original drawings of Sea Wees if anyone knows where to find them??? This lovely Bubble Ballet Sea Wee mama has little tiny pink shells on her peplum that I never noticed until I painted her! So cute. #Toyart #doll #oilpainting #painting #seawee

Unwrapped at @evolvedgallery coming in November

I’ll have prints available including prints My Little Pony oil painting originals.

Excited to have this new piece “Plush Gizmo” a part of @evolvedartgallery ‘s next show, “Unwrapped”, toys from the 80s and 90s. You can check it out next month in Ventura! 👍🏻😎
My love for Gizmo is probably where my love for painting creatures that are both adorable and a little bit dangerous first began. 😆

Happy Sunday☀️

Had a lot of fun bringing together this tarot inspired half sleeve. Thank you Shan for trusting me with this concept and driving out from San Diego for it! Looking forward to the next phase of this project✨

Toy art show!!!! 💖🎀That’s right- I have a few pieces in a group show at @evolvedartgallery in Ventura- opening in November just in time for the holidays! I’m showing my Skydancer 6” x 6” oil painting and painting a new Sea Wee! Also will have prints of some other Sea Wees and Ponies I’ve painted in the past. It’s fun to be able to paint a topic I love! 💕 retro toys! Technically I think my #seawees is from the late 70s but I played with them in the 80s! 😆💖🎀🧜‍♀️🌊
