At today’s Coffee with Councillor session at West Croydon Methodist Church organised by @msfoundations.co.uk , we heard from someone eager to work but unable to do so due to their immigration status, highlighting the importance of providing the right support and guidance. We were delighted to welcome @ReedinPartnership to offer employment advice, expanding our support to four key areas: housing, mental health, bereavement counselling and employment. A heartfelt thank you to @maudsleycharity for their continued support in helping us make a positive difference in our community. @evolveldn @rowlandbrothersfd @rowland_brothers_foundation #reedinpartnership

The difference we are making to individuals through our Coffee with Counsellor sessions at the food bank, organised by @msfoundations.co.uk reminds us why this work is so important. This week, one person arrived having had nothing to eat or drink and the first thing we were able to offer was a warm cup of coffee, food and a safe, welcoming space.

We also supported a young person who became homeless following difficult family circumstances, resulting in sleeping on the streets, severe malnutrition and hospital admission; although now in temporary shared accommodation, he continues to struggle with depression and needs ongoing support. Our counsellor was there to listen, provide counselling and help connect him with further support.

Our Coffee with Counsellor continues to provide compassion, dignity and practical support to people experiencing homelessness and some of the most difficult moments of their lives. @maudsleycharity @evolveldn @rowlandbrothersfd @andy.burnham @mayorofldn
