You are invited to participate in a life-changing experience mentoring aspiring business owners at the women’s prison in Lockhart, Texas on October 2nd, 2026. All majors and any guests, including non-students, are welcome as well. Must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up soon! The sign-up sheet also includes an option to ride a bus to the facility. The bus will leave promptly at 6:00 a.m. from West Campus and return by approximately 5:30 p.m.

Spring Highlight!!!!

A few members of Aggie EWOP had the opportunity to visit the Coleman Unit in April to share insights on current business trends, social media, AI, resume tips, and attire. We loved the opportunity to speak with the women and hear their thoughts and questions.

These women are powerhouses of energy, curiosity, and knowledge, as well as extremely lively, beautiful, and fun! We can’t wait to be back in the fall! 💗

It was SUCH a special time to be at the women’s prison in Lockhart for their business pitch competition 🫶🏽🌼 Heaven on earth because of the encouragement and compassion these girlies are receiving and also giving to each other 💖 From the moment you walk in, you can feel the genuine joy and freedom from the past that they’re experiencing. Empowering Women Out of Prison is an incredible program!!!!! @ewoptx
Jennifer and I are both standing there in tears at all of their talent, wisdom, resilience, and vision that makes them literally glow!!! what could we all become if we were encouraged to be ourselves and built up to follow our dreams despite the mistakes we’ve made or the pain we’ve experienced 🫶🏽💐
i’m so grateful for experiences like this, the full circle moments that remind me why we’re here! 🙏🏽❤️

☕✨ What a morning!

Today’s Coffee & Commerce was filled with new faces, new friendships, and fresh connections. We were especially excited to have new Chamber members in attendance with us: Connections Individual and Family Services, Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc., Alex Hoisington, and Empowering Women Out of Prison. Thank you for joining us—having you here is already enriching our community!

A heartfelt thank-you to Wanda Caudillo and the amazing Austin Telco Federal Credit Union team for sponsoring this month’s gathering. Your support helps make mornings like these possible, and we’re grateful for the warmth and energy you brought with you. 🙌

Did we survive our darkest days just to stay silent? 🤫

I DID NOT! Sharing of what helped me overcome those dark days, is exactly what gave them meaning. Raw, real, unpolished, never sugar coated. Don’t let your past continue to weigh you down and hold you back.

I’ve kept this note by my bed to remind me of why I’m doing this work and why it matters.

⁣Beyond honored to have delivered the keynote at the @atxcommunityfdn Women’s Fund Grants Celebration Breakfast last week! 15 orgs (three in each of five impact areas) were awarded $500,000 towards their operations. This was all funded by a combination of donors, and distributed through an equity-aligned grants making process. 80% of the awarded orgs have a majority BIPOC staff and each impact area included at least one new awardee! It was a real pleasure to share some of my work at HT and draw connections between HT’s and ACF’s approaches.
