Incredibly excited to announce the launch of The Tears of Other People: A History and Memoir of Displacement in Portsmouth New Hampshire! @evie.evergreen.docx is a brilliant writer, amazing thinker, and generous collaborator and this project is such a long and thorough labor of love. We are so honored to be publishing this work and so grateful for (and impressed by!) the pre-sale purchasers who helped us bring this physical book to life. @ex_strangers created such beautiful art that so perfectly covers the book and @srahw4ng expertly transformed it into a print for some lucky pre-sale patrons. Everyone is amazing!! 📚😭💕

Thank you @philwp86 for inviting ABaD to participate in the National Day of Writing at Penn GSE. We had so much fun hosting a paper-making workshop with ABaD Graduate Assistant, @ex_strangers. Special thanks you to all who came and were brave enough to get your hands dirty!

"I consider my work to be folk art in its expression of daily life and emotion and use of materials sources directly from the place where the art is created. From discarded magazines, shredded office paper, recycled newspapers, to fallen leaves, it’s all pretty scrappy."

See work by Julia Adler during Greenpoint Open Studios June 10th & 11th! @ex_strangers
