Our latest blog comes from choreographer, artistic director and film maker Lea Anderson, who returned to the museum on a stipend to research her latest show, BUG, which will be performed in school playgrounds.

The performing street dance musician-creatures in BUG will perform a set of dances/music based on the most interesting insect dances - spider, bee, grasshopper, mantis and house fly.

The show will use an octapad (an electronic percussion instrument which can sample sounds (like buzzing and clicking etc.).

A perfect blog to share for #insectweek! 🐜
