Why are our rivers allowed to be in this state? It’s so bad for the wildlife that depend upon them. Please @envagency and @exetercouncil can you advise what communications you are having about how the river can be managed differently to prevent this. #wildlifeincrisis #exeter #rivers

Exeter Young Greens hosted a wonderfully illuminating conversation with local community activists from Exeter Trans Pride, Trans and Non-Binary Cafe, and Transilience.

We discussed how the South West can better support the local trans community, and what we, as individuals and business owners, can do to champion inclusive spaces.

This has been particularly important and relevant in the lead up to the Trans Pride march on Saturday the 3rd.

We hope to host many more such sessions in the future.

Community gardening in Northerhay Gardens this afternoon… Tidying up one of the flower beds.

Shame to see the azalea so overcome by the heat. Roses looking good so gave a bit of a prune and might get another set of blooms before the end of autumn.

We’ve planned two more sessions this autumn get in touch if you’d like to get involved ! Photos of the flower bed we worked on and some of the cuttings that we took to tidy up

🚨 Despite promising to cut bills and tackle the climate crisis, Andy Burnham looks set to green-light more North Sea drilling.

Remember:

🛢️ More oil and gas won’t cut our bills.

🌡️ But it will worsen the #ClimateCrisis.

We need cheap renewable energy - not more fossil fuels. Green Party Bradford District graphic featuring a protest against the Jackdaw gas field, with protesters holding signs including “STOP JACKDAW GAS FIELD!” and a stylised halftone image of Andy Burnham in glasses overlaid in the foreground. A Guardian headline reads: “Jackdaw gas field set to be approved by ministers this month, sources say.” “JOIN.GREENPARTY.ORG.UK” appears at the bottom.
