WAHALA FASHION SHOW ASCENSION / In partnership with Exhale Studios

Wahala is the product of two beautiful souls I got to know many years ago called Tobi and Sinead, and them just like us… are some of the few that never gave up on chasing purpose and dreams from the scene we were all apart of in Dublin. At the start of the year we as Exhale decided it was important to zoom out a little and really look around at who is embodying a similar approach to ourselves and Wahala was the obvious choice. Tobi like ourselves cares deeply about culture, history, the traditional community driven similarities between Irish and African households throughout decades that so many other cultures also share and the desire to be the mentors we never had.

This was also our first attempt at showing what we are capable of outside of marketing and distribution. 12 of the 26sets in this collection were conceptualised by @exhale_jr , designed and executed by @exhaletadhg + @tobi.tobe_

There is a new energy in Ireland and I feel very grateful to play a tiny part in bringing it all forward.

The years not done yet.

First picture taken in Spain start of 2023, about a month later we went all in on what we are doing now. At the time the boys had no idea the journey they'd be on and how big it would be 18months later 🤣 Definition of trust the process. Really just a heap of Irish boys who wanted to earn a place in the music industry.
One day we'll tell the story.

Its been a crazy ass 2 years. Since Graduating I've taken a path to improve in as many areas of content creation and design as I could. There's been steep learning curves and plenty of hard work (along with sleepless night) to hit deadlines and get shit done. Taking a step back to look at everything has been kind a trip. 2 days ago I bought a midi keyboard to take up yet another new skill. There's still a lot of learning and I'm definitely in the early stages of the craft. But for years music has been something I wanted to delve into. This is my first proper attempt at making music after messing with ableton a few times over the last 2 years. Here's to what I hope is another craft to hone and master over the next few years. Hope you enjoy!
