Stunning evening in the cool of the Cinema Museum whilst London melted. Such a great program and an honour to be alongside such talented devotees. Thanks @exploding_cinema for everything, especially loved winning the raffle and the Guirlande d’Honneur which I wore around my neck all the way back to Margate like I’d won the grand national :-) 🎠

(meteors...) Ghada Sayegh Lebanon · 2025 · 9’22″ · Super 8mm, 16mm meteors... is a silent film composed of images drawn from the Katsakh Mediterranean Archive, a personal collection of non-fiction Super 8mm and 16mm films capturing cities and villages of the Eastern Mediterranean from the 1920s to the 1980s, initiated in 2020 by Chantal Partamian, experimental filmmaker and archivist. Between image and word unfolds a poetic exchange that traces the paths of exile, imprinting the landscapes, here and elsewhere, with a history steeped in memory and mourning.
