First time at the beach in the fall and won’t be the last.🌻

Perfect beach days ~ warm weather, clear skies, cool water ~ and a kite festival (put on by @fly_it_port_a_kite_shop) in Port Aransas this long weekend.🪁

I even got to do a little watercolor painting, reading and jigsaw puzzle-ing.🎨

I’ve always thought of beach days as reserved for the summer but October might just be one of my new favorite times to visit the coast.🌞🌊

We recently went camping at 📍Garner State Park, and honestly, it was such an amazing experience! 🌿⛺️ We also tackled the Old Baldy hike, and the views from the top were absolutely worth the climb. 🥾😍

• Distance: ~1 mile round trip
• Elevation gain:~450 ft
• Time:~45 minutes
• Views:Panoramic views of the Frio River & Texas Hill Country🌄

After the hike, you can cool off in the Frio River, relax by the water, enjoy a picnic, explore more trails, or make it a full getaway with camping.⛺️🌊

🍂 Planning a fall trip?Garner is especially beautiful during the fall season! Late October through November -is a great time to look for autumn colors, although peak foliage can vary depending on weather.
