School’s starting back up and I already know I’m gonna be busy. Training, working out, studying, hanging with friends, playing games, and a bunch of other stuff.
I’ve got too much going on to waste my time with nicotine. @breakupwithnic @explorefcg @chipublichealth #Ad

POV: Me & Nic Broke Up pulled up to From The ‘GO Fest with a whole vibe 💔🚫

Sponsored by the Chicago Department of Public Health, this booth brought real talk about vaping straight to the culture , no lecture, just honesty (and a killer prize wheel 🎡). 👌🏾

Free merch, prizes, real conversations, and a message that actually landed with the crowd: nicotine’s not it, and it’s time for that breakup. 💛

Shoutout to @explorefcg Me & Nic Broke Up and CDPH for showing up for Chicago youth in a way that felt real. 🌇

Swipe to see the booth in action ➡️

Me + Nic Broke Up 🚫

In partnership with the Chicago Department of Public Health, From The Go Show had its first LIVE audience show to spark real conversations, real stories, and real change.

This wasn’t just an episode, it was a movement. Teens choosing themselves over addiction. Voices louder than habits.

Because quitting or never starting isn’t weak.

Thank you to @explorefcg @chipublichealth

How do you create spaces that build community?

That question anchored last Friday’s Demo Demo Day conversation at mHUB, moderated by a5 Director of Place, Ben Schulman. Panelists Terrance Hall of 815 Impact and Verjurnae Leal of Flowers Communications Group shared perspectives on how collaboration across corporate, community, and cultural sectors can reimagine vacancy, reactivate place, and infuse life into underutilized spaces.

Organized by artist Nick Brown, the discussion was part of Demo Demo Day, a new event in Chicago’s fall cultural calendar exploring the intersections of art, design, and economic development.

The Chicago Air & Water show is such a historical event every summer. Making it an honor to interview Herb Hunter, the voice of the show for over 30 years, to hear about the show’s history and his story.

Chief Mom Officer Spotlight | Day 7: Jasmine Flowers Mazyck, MBA

Every day this month, I’ll be spotlighting incredible working moms who are balancing career and motherhood with grace, grit, and unmatched brilliance.

This series is personal. As a full‑time professional, business owner, and mom of three, I live the juggle of meetings, milestones, meltdowns, and meals. I created this space to honor the women who do it all in boardrooms and bedrooms, on Zoom calls and school pick‑up lines. Because motherhood and ambition are not mutually exclusive, and these women prove it every day.

Meet Jasmine Flowers Mazyck, MBA, Managing Partner at Flowers Communications Group (FCG) an integrated marketing communications agency rooted in legacy, cultural insight, and evolution. With nearly two decades of leadership experience at Deloitte and McKinsey, Jasmine returned to her family’s business in 2021 and was recently promoted to Managing Partner completing a beauty of a full-circle moment.

At FCG, she leads strategy, talent, operations, and business development shaping the agency’s forward momentum while nurturing its rich legacy. A standout in her field, she was honored as one of Diversity MBA Magazine’s Top 100 Under 50.

What makes Jasmine a true #ChiefMomOfficer:
• Leading at the intersection of culture, communications, and business while raising an incredible family
• Embracing change, legacy, and leadership with vision and courage
• Teaching her children what it looks like to build something meaningful with both heart and strategy
Jasmine reminds us that legacy isn't inherited it’s grown, nurtured, and elevated. And she’s doing it in business and in motherhood with brilliance.

Inspired by her story?

Join the #ChiefMomOfficer community at www.thechiefmomofficer.com to receive merch, resources, and real-life support for working moms.

Tag a working mom who’s not just leading but leaving a legacy.
