Two more great flower filled days in the Netherlands! The Flower Parade in Haarlem did not disappoint! The floats made almost entirely out of flowers and bulbs were spectacular. @bloemencorsobollenstreek

Our first Flower Tour design workshop was a huge success! Dutch designer Joan Stam is a brilliant teacher who showed us how to make a unique hand-tied bouquet. We ended the day with small group projects that married technical skills with beautiful, lush flowers.

Our workshop took place at a charming venue on Lake Valkenburg just outside of Leiden. Thank you @brasseriebuitenhuis for such delicious food and for being wonderful hosts!

Despite the weather we loved our visit with Daan, the owner of the tulip bulb farm, De Tulperij. We saw his tulip fields and beautiful show garden, learned about bulb farming and thoroughly enjoyed the shop and cafe! 🌷 Thank you, Daan!

Day 2 in Scotland! Yesterday’s flower workshop with @pyrusbotanicals was beyond expectations! We spent the morning at Pyrus’ walled garden cutting flowers and learning growing and conditioning tips. For the afternoon, we went to the spectacular @gosford.house where went foraging for greenery on the grounds.
In our workshop, we created a large installation piece in a room filled with history. It was quite a setting and a beautiful project for us to work on as a group.
Fiona and her team from Pyrus were truly a joy to spend the day with! And a big thank you to Alison for our wonderful tour of Gosford House. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤍💙

The stunning Scottish scenery is endless! We toured the gardens and castle at @cawdor_castle and loved every minute of it! The breathtaking view and ruins at @dunnottarcastle cannot be put into words. It’s a must see for anyone visiting Scotland!

The flower fun continues in Scotland with our 3rd workshop. Libby and Alice from @hands_full_of_flowers spoke to us about their design inspirations and techniques, growing flowers in the Highland town of Ullapool and
utilizing bits from the garden for other creative projects. We dined amongst a tablescape of our beautiful arrangements.

I was invited by @faithflowersatl and @exploreflowertours to lead a group of floral designers and gardeners through Lisbon this week. It was a lovely opportunity to curate a city walk focused on flowers and gardens, wandering our way through Jacaranda laden squares, iconic Lisbon flower shops, and city green spaces: both public, private, and secret (🌿🌿🌿!) as well as flora-inspired cultural sites. Thank you to all the guides and contributors including the always amazing co-host @pmhcguimaraes. Here are some of our stops:

- Florista Ferreira Borges: Campo de Ourique´s 3rd generation flower shop.🌿

-Veronika Blyzniuchenko's "The Beauty is a Choice" @veronika_veraart A temporary exhibit of fanciful flora and fauna paintings inspired by Portuguese azulejos and gardens.🌸

-Jardim da Estrela with @tomastojo who highlights important species in the garden with historical and botanical context.🌿

-@broteria_ A secret garden cafe located in a former palace and home of a natural science magazine founded in 1902. Lunch was petiscos of course! @broteriacafe🌿

-Nuno Prate's hidden botanical library and cabinet of curiosities. @academia_jardineiro_lisboeta

-The city's oldest flower shop: Pequeno Jardim. 🌸@pequeno_jardim

-Nuno Prate's wildly inspiring verdant indoor garden and tropical plant collection.@the_lisbonian_gardener 🌿
