ending of August 🌞

august is my favorite month of the year (and not just because it’s my birthday month 🤪). so many fun summer memories this year. three concerts, girls trips to OR and CA, hikes, and sooo many fun summer adventures!

Bigfoot turns two 🥳

Literally cannot believe he’s already 2 years old! He has been the best puppy and has taught me so much already. He got me back into agility and we’ve been on such a fun journey since. I love his adaptability to just be thrown into any situation and adjust seamlessly. He has such a big heart and natural willingness to please. I say it all the time, but I would have 10 of him if I could. My perfect little puppy 🖤 Happy birthday to all of his siblings as well! It’s been such a privilege to be able to watch all the littermates blossom.

2️⃣8️⃣ 🎂🎉

this last year has been one of many ups and downs, but I’m super thankful for all of my amazing friends who have supported me throughout a big year of change!

the good, the bad, and the ugly:
• @explorenborgen and I took a bucket list trip to Iceland where we snorkeled between tectonic plates, saw puffins, and went to a beluga whale sanctuary 🫶
• I was in a car accident that totaled my sweet Bluejay and set me back physically & mentally 😭
• saw some of my favorite artists in concert like Sombr, Ed Sheeran, Jonas Brothers, and soon Noah Kahan 👀 and maybe even have a special trip with @exploringnoelle coming up…
• did lots of hiking with amazing people!!
• Koda had a big and unexpected dental surgery but is recovering so well 🐶
• started a new job which I am loving but is keeping me extra busy 👩🏽‍💼

& so much more. Can’t wait to see what this next year brings!

A few ways I train/raise Klaus and Laika differently from one another.

To me, this is a perfect example of equality versus equity. Equality would be bringing both dogs to play disk for their enrichment time. Klaus would have *a blast* and Laika would be bored and distracted. I would be doing the same things for both dogs with different results.

Equity, on the other hand, is taking Klaus to play disk and then taking Laika for a long, lovely, sniffy walks in the woods where she can smell every animal trail. Both of them getting the things that enrich them individually.

2025 was a wild ride. This is definitely the highlight reel — and looking back makes me realize just how many amazing opportunities I’ve had. But this year also came with its fair share of struggle, self-doubt, growing pains, and general life chaos.

I hope you had an incredible year too, and I can’t wait to see what adventures the next one brings.

At the end of my vlog series, I realized… I’m truly creating what I want to create. I didn’t “finish” the series in a traditional way — instead, I’m using this recap as the ending. After a month of vlogging, I learned I can do things my own way — and it feels so much easier to pick up the camera now.
