Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to the CASE It Instagram Hop!! We are a group of online crafty friends who will be playing with the idea of Copy and Share Everything each month.

What does it mean? It means that each of us will find a project on Instagram that inspires us and we will share that project as well as the project we’ve created that was inspired by that original. We aren’t here to perfectly copy someone else’s creation. Rather, we want to show how we can be inspired to make something of our own from something someone else made.

If you swipe to the third image, you will see the project that inspired me this month.

I was inspired by @expressivepaper
I was inspired by the products she used from LDRS. When I saw them at my local craft store , I knew I needed them. So I turned my card into a masculine card . The products I used- @ldrs_creative - Hot Air Balloon 3D embossing folder and layering stencil. The inks @heroarts - core inks: deep ocean, periwinkle, aquatic, mist, dove white and charcoal. Everything is from my stash.

We are a growing group and I hope you’ll have the time to hop along to see all of the wonderful creations! If you’re interested in joining, please contact @nAuntie

Next Up in the Hop is: @purplejetjt

With hopefully spring is here, I love when the flowers start to bloom and getting flowers and gardens planted. So l decided to use a die set@teamspellbinders that my friend @expressivepaper gave me called Stylish Oval Hello You Floral. The sentiment also came from spellbinders. I used @heroarts - cover plate die- Parquet for the background.

Project 77 - 2024

Today is the second card from yesterday’s inspiration - This time using the die cut outline.
As a reminder the inspiration came from a post in the Gina K Designs and Stamp TV Friends Facebook group by Kathy Pisupati I was inspired to recreate a design she made using a heart die. In the end the only thing similar was that I used a heart die! But I am still happy for the inspiration to pull out my supplies.

- Gina K - Fancy Phrases Stamp Set (From Scrapbook and Cards Today Sept 2023 Crop and Create)
- Gina K - Swirled Heart Die
- Gina K - Black Onyx Ink
- Spellbinders - Tufted Embossing Folder E3D-027
- Hammermill 100# (271 gsm) white Cardstock
- Barely Arts Precision Craft Glue

Project 76 - 2024

After seeing a post in the Gina K Designs and Stamp TV Friends Facebook group by Kathy Pisupati I was inspired to recreate a design she made using a heart die. In the end the only thing similar was that I used a heart die! But I am still happy for the inspiration to pull out my supplies. I ended up creating two cards for one out of the die. One using the paper pieces and the other the die cut outline. Today’s card uses paper pieces.

- Gina K - Sweet Sentiments Stamp Set (From Scrapbook and Cards Today March 2023 Crop and Create)
- Gina K - Swirled Heart Die
- Gina K - Master Layouts 2
- Gina K Black Onyx Ink
- Hammermill 100# (271 gsm) white Cardstock
- Barely Arts Precision Craft Glue

I posted this chalkboard that leads to my bedroom/craftroom a few months ago. In my stories, I asked for ideas of how I could frame off the chalkboard. Thank you so much to all my fellow crafters that responded with suggestions. All the replies were great ideas. I settled on @expressivepaper and @maryredjr responses that were to use baseboard or wooden trim boards to frame off the chalkboard to look like a picture frame. I was planning on using much thinner trim than this one, however, I found these pieces of door trim in my shed. My sweet husband cut the boards with his miter saw. I had all intentions to use wood glue, hot glue, and small finishing tacks/brad nails to adhere the frame to the chalkboard. However, before I could say anything my husband had used small Sheetrock screws and tried caulking the holes. It works but my way would have been a lot prettier. I painted the frame with the purple accent paint that’s already in my room. I believe the color is called “Magical.” Scroll to the last photos to see what the chalkboard looked like before I framed it. What do you think? Do you like it better now? (Still sharing parts of my craft space while waiting on others to join in on my craft room tours adventure) If you would like to participate please share a tour of your craft space, tag me, and use #shareyourcraftspace2024 😊 Side note: every time I paint something purple I think of my sweet friend, Traci @tjcarddesigns who is battling pancreatic cancer so I wanted to also use her new hashtag she created to spread colorful joy to make her smile 💜 #craftroomdecor #craftroomideas #shareyourcraftspace2024 #chalkboard #chalkboardmakeover #diy #tjcarddesignsteamjoy
