I’ve seen a lot of helpful tips and tricks about this whole booksta thing, so figured I would throw out what I have learned too.

Joking aside, this has been a really fun experience where I have met some incredibly cool people (so many that I can’t think to tag them all 😂). The real advice I have is to just be yourself and do what you want. Sure you can chase trends, chase follower counts, and so on—but the real fun of doing this is the meaningful connections you can make with other like-minded people along the way. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that that is why social media was created in the first place: Connection.

The more we support each other, the more fun we can have. I want to hear about books, I want memes and good conversations. Send out the accounts to follow!

200 posts. 900 followers. and 55 accounts that make this little corner of the internet so much better. 🥹💖

in no particular order, because this is an appreciation post, not a ranking 💀

thank you for the friendships, the laughs, the endless book recommendations, the yapping, and for making this community such a wonderful place to be.

and if I missed anyone, please know it wasn't intentional. there are so many wonderful people here and I appreciate you all. 🫶

(also, if you're tagged in the comments instead of the post, it's because instagram only let me tag 20 people 😭)

Today is Day 6 of my Canadian Thanksgiving shout-outs!!

Today I'm highlighting some more of the Bookstagrammers who make this community what it is. Everyone brings something different to Bookstagram, whether it's their reading tastes, their opinions, their personality, or the way they share their love of books.

Thank you for bringing your own little piece of bookish magic to this community and making Bookstagram a place where we can all share our love of reading in our own ways. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your accounts, and I'm happy to be able to celebrate some of you today!

Make sure to check out these lovely accounts and give them a follow if you find someone new to you!

Every book you love fits on this model 📚

And they're proportioned by Mind, Body, and Soul.

Soul is the child-like creator in all of us 🎨. Legends and Lattes or LOTR are prime examples.

Mind is what makes us think, learn, and grow 🧠. These are your philosophies and classics.

Body is how we feel, whether it be fear, fun, or spice 🌶.

Every book has a dash of each, but tend to dominate two of the three.

The Body/Soul books are your romantacies such as ACOTAR, or power driven fantasy like Red Rising 🐉

The Soul/Mind books are the historical fantasies like Bernard Cornwell, urban fantasy, and your steam/cyberpunk ⚔️

Mind/Body are your true crime books and thrillers. Crime and Punishment being an excellent example of both 🔪

Save this to pick your next mood read 📖

If you're a writer, feel free to save this model to map out your WIP and its comps 🔖

Do you agree with these placements? Where would you put your current read?
